ELEGOO 3D Printer Fireproof Dustproof Enclosure

This enclosure has really leveled out my printing temperatures. I also have piece of mind leaving my machine running throughout the night. Would love to get a few more for my other machines but they can’t seem to keep them in stock on Amazon or their own website. If you can find this product in stock it’s worth buying and super easy to put together.

The enclosure is pretty big, but it fits the Neptune 3 pro with spool inside. It definitely helps keep the temperature more even and it helps prevent drafts that can cause warping issues. That’s actually the main reason I bought it was to help with warping, however, I do plan on eventually building an IKEA lack enclosure, but for the time being, this works well and I’m happy with my purchase.

Need an enclosure for my printer because I thought it would help with drafts. It helped a little bit with that and helps my prints stay adhered. I paid more for this one over others because I have an Elegoo brand printer and figured it would bother me staring at a creality logo. It was pretty easy to set up, but tbh the quality isn’t fantastic, there were already loose threads here and there and even some decent gaps in the stitching. Product seems expensive for what I paid. But it is kinda giant. Almost too big for my table but I made it work.
Seems like sometimes I should still leave the door open though or it gets a bit too hot, strangely my black filament started not feeding and it only finally was fixed after leaving the door unzipped. My guess was maybe the ambient heat inside the enclosure was somehow making that plastic too soft for the gears 🤷‍♂️ who knows, as long as I leave the front door or top open for basic ventilation it’s good

Since writing this review, I’ve been in contact with a member from customer service for an issue unrelated to the enclosure itself. However, while assisting with a seperate issue, they went out of their way to contact me and inform me of their intent to address my criticisms of the product. Their customer service showed me efforts of going above and beyond what I had expected, which has positively impacted my review of bit the enclosure and company as a whole.

Flaws:
– Viewing window is placed on the wrong side (my left) of the screen holder that comes with the Neptune 4 (my right). I can’t imagine what else that window would be used for.
– Zippers are worrying, they’re already getting a bit stuck at certain points.
– Was packaged in a way that caused the main window to arrive very crumbled and unpleasant to see through (though not as bad as the picture makes it look).
— and a small gripe, there may be a good reason for it, but placing pockets for tools on the inside of the enclosure feels like a strange choice

Pros:
– It probably functions as needed, though I have yet to test it.
– The opening at the back can allow for some fan integration which seems useful. Not sure the exact use of the flap along the side aside from feeding out the power cable, but again, the option seems useful.
– Created by the brand, so I could trust that it should run in a way that works and fits best with the printer (though, the small window being on the other side of the screen is worrying).

Overall I expected better quality coming from the brand itself. The zippers are the most concerning part, because I don’t want to worry about having to replace the entire thing after constantly opening and closing it, and the simplistic instructions don’t really explain some of the design choices (side flap, small window, etc.). And the crumpled main window, while not a functional risk, is fairly disappointing.

I made this purchase because I needed an enclosure quickly that I could trust. I’d like to assume I can trust this, as it’s made by the same company as my printer, but again, the odd and concerning design choices are making causing me to rethink my choice of purchase.

Notes:
– the support rods are very difficult to attach fully without large gaps between them, but it’s feasible if you twist and push in order to connect them as close as they can get.
– Placing the Neptune 4 inside the enclosed while it’s fully assembled is difficult, and near impossible if it has filament on it. I needed to remove the top/front support in order to fully open the enclosure to place it in.

I purchased because it says it fits the Neptune 4. However it does not. the Neptune 4 is to wide especially with the control console on the side. waste of money.

This is a must have, keeps the printer temperature accurate and constant which means much better quality prints! Virtually eliminates noise, keeps the odor under control and keeps the print filament dry from humidity.
