This works fantastically. The zoom is beautiful, not too great for the field of view but the zoom is great quality clearness works awesome and it works really well for zooming in on pictures and finding aliens in the sky.

It’s a very easy turn on and it starts working type of digital microscope. Picture quality is good for finding error pennies, however, there came a problem when it came time to plug it into my computer. Elikiv has a website, but the website does not work, straight up says server not found. The manual that you can find on the amazon page for this microscope recommends using amcap software, which has no official website as far as I could tell. Finally, after looking through the description again, Elikiv recommends using the built in Camera program to see the microscope image on your computer. The quality is really good, however, I come across the problem of the image freezing a lot when I’m using the microscope, I’m unsure if this is a problem with my computer, or if this is how it is supposed to be.
Update – 3 Days of use, the freezing stopped and the microscope works fine. Not sure what was causing the problem. Found a program called ImageJ for USB microscopes. Using the webcam plugin for imageJ, I am able to see a live image from the microscope and make the image larger on my computer. This is a very nifty, useful microscope, I definitely can see myself buying Elikiv’s higher power microscopes at some point.

I love how it’s so portable, the size is just right for all the adjustability. The focus is gorgeous! Bright enough to see all the coins. I got this for my dad for Father’s day. He’s pretty pleased!

I purchased this to inspect coins. I was worried about the quality since the price was so low. While the material the microscope set up is made with is on the light side, for the price you pay, it is made well enough for my liking. If treated with care, I dont see this being an issue. I do wish the base was a little heavie, its good enough. Putting together was easy and did not even need the instructions. The instruction book it comes with will walk you through the process if needed. The camera is clear and the display is very good. with windows 10 the camera was plug and play and works very well with my computer. If you are looking for an inexpencive microscope, I highly recommend this one. Ive only used it a number of times with no issues so longevity is not known. If I have issues I will edit my review.

I’ve purchased 2 other microscopes. This one is absolutely the best. It has a large screen to directly see the object you’re looking at. The lighting adjustment options took me a minute to get set up perfectly but worth the time. I’ve had 2 before, the first one was wi-fi connected which always disconnected. I got a replacement from the seller but that one broke almost immediately . The next one I got wasn’t wi-fi but I couldn’t focus well enough to see smaller marks on my plant leaves (or tiny bugs). This one is awesome- I haven’t tried to put an SD card so I took the pictures in my review with my phone. The battery life is excellent so far- it’s stayed charged for 2 weeks with daily usage (10-15 mins). The picture is super clear too. I highly recommend this microscope!

My intention was to use the coin microscope for viewing coins. For this, it is fine with the coin on the stage. The magnification is good, the focus is sharp, and the image looks good on a small screen at 720p. In practice, the distance between the lens and the subject changes the magnification. Adjusting focus is done with the silver knob on the lens barrel.
Note that to see a whole coin, the lens must be raised well above the stage. This can be done by turning the camera around and raising the stage on top of something stable. Weight should also be set on the stage so the whole device doesn’t tip over because it will be out of balance with the camera reversed.
Unfortunately, when the camera is raised sufficiently to view a whole coin, the light levels drop off from the 8 LEDs and the image becomes distorted. A circular coin is rendered as a very noticeably horizontally stretched oval. Perhaps this can be corrected if the image is saved and edited on a computer, but for video, it is not acceptable IMHO.
Conclusion is that this device works well with subjects on stage and at the range of magnification available by adjusting the camera’s height. For its cost, it is a good value. For viewing and photographing coins, say to make a personal collection log, it leaves much to be desired.

I purchased this scope a few months back and I couldn’t be more happy with it! I was skeptical when I saw the price but it performs great and the picture and live view is excellent! The battery life is really good and lasts hours before needing a charge. I also use the provided USB cord to connect to my computer so I can have a bigger screen while viewing. Not saying this is a high end piece of equipment by any means but for the $30 range it is well worth the money and has lasted me months without being damaged.
