Elite Gourmet Automatic 4-Cup Coffee Maker with Pause

I purchased this coffee maker as a home warming gift for my daughter and her husband. She absolutely loves making coffee every morning. She said it’s easy to use, and makes great coffee. She said it fits nicely in her small kitchen, and matches with her other kitchen appliances. I would highly recommend purchasing as a gift or for yourself.

I have a small kitchen so I needed a coffee maker that fits in a tight space and makes great coffee. This little coffee maker fits both of my requirements. It is easy to use, has a heat warmer, and a reusable filter. Great little machine for the price!

Great for 1-2 cups coffee. Downfall is the lid on carafe doesn’t fit well. An pouring coffee is a little messy because of the lid.

Have had the Elite Gourmet Coffee pot for slightly over 1 year. Overall it’s been a pretty decent coffee pot. The main complaints I have after one year of use, as others have noted: 1) it drips a lot when you pull coffee pot off the base to poor coffee while it is still making. I bought this coffee pot specifically for the pause & serve feature, but unfortunately many times it does not pause as suggested, it still drips coffee quite a bit, which is frustrating. 2) And lately, the most frustrating thing is that the coffee making process has become extremely slower to make a pot of coffee! The past month or so it takes around 20 to 25 minutes start to finish to make a pot of coffee, which seems extremely slow and much longer than it should take! Also I have noticed after initially turning on the coffee pot to start making coffee, the water/coffee will trickle barely into the pot, then it will stop for a minute as if the coffee pot has to think about making the coffee. Then it will start trickling the coffee again, then it will stop & start off and on for the next 25 minutes. Almost as if the filter where the water/coffee drips into the pot is clogged, not sure. I just called elite gourmet support and they had not heard of this issue, but buyer beware, the coffee pot seems to get gradually slower and also drips too much with use/time. Otherwise it makes good coffee and I have no complaints about the quality of the coffee.

Does what it says, works quite well, pretty easy to clean. Overall simple and effective machine

First of all, if you overfill the water reservoir a bit, to the top of the window, you will get almost five cups, or the standard 25 oz, of brewed coffee, or two 12 oz mugs. If you fill the reservoir to the recommended level, you will get four cups, or 20 oz.

My biggest gripe is that the filter basket is too small. Currently I’m using a paper filter, I don’t want to dump the grounds down the drain because I’m in a house, not apartment, and I’d have to deal with clogged drains myself. I’m using six scoops of ground coffee, I like strong, and sometimes the filter overfills and coffee grounds get in the cup.

Because the basket is so small, the coffee maker senses when the the basket is filled with coffee and stops brewing, usually at the three cup level. The picture shows it stopping at the 4 cup point. It starts again and goes to four and stops again. Finally it starts again and finishes at about 5 cups if I filled to that point.

I have to wait for the coffee to stop dripping because the valve leaks.

I do like the coffee maker because it is small and compact but there are disadvantages to being small.
