Marlies –
Preis/Leistung ist perfekt

“Extra long scale” is misleading, otherwise good strings.
Actual usable length is about 35-36″.
Leon –
This lighter 0.125 gauge string provides a crisp, clear tone without the “mud” of the thicker 0.135 string. Great tone, and I like the Elixir coating as well. I play with my fingers rather than a pick, and have had been using these strings for about 6 months without any problems.
Adam –
This is it. These are not the Best in the World in my book. They are the ONLY Bass Strings.
The coating does not last forever, but the tone can last for 2 years.
The coating feels like silk and even when that is worn the steel does not shred my fingertips like cheap strings.
I am spoiled by this product and the Tone is everything I love.
Luis Guillermo Verduzco Quintero –
The nano coating makes the strings smooth compared to other brands. Expensive but worth it, and last longer.
J. Long –
If, you are a Finger style bass player,
these strings are the ones for you….
Great Tone, last a long time and the fun part is that you can mix match the Gauge.
My style I mix match these for a 5 String bass:
.45
.65
.80
.100
.125
My preference to use are, NICKEL Plated Steel with NANOWEB COATING.

Recibi el pedido con el sello roto y la cuerda se mira como doblada del extremo superior, parece autentica porque se ve que tiene el nanoweb coating pero tengo dudas👍

The older version of these strings were great. 2 years ago they came out with a new formula for their coating as well as a new stainless steel version of their strings. Unfortunately, the strings suffered a bit. The rest of the set is excellent, but so far I’ve gone through 2 of these B strings while the rest of the set is still like new. The tone on the B dies after about a month which is way shorter than an Elixir string is expected to last. I usually go 6 months or more on a set and they still sound the same as the new set I’ll put on.
Luckily (or conveniently for Elixir?) they sell a B string separetly so I can buy that instead of a whole set just to replace 1 string.
Update (6-21-15): Elixir was kind enough to send me 2 replacement sets since I had issues with the B strings. Since then I have had no problems with the low B, they must have figured out the issue or I just got unlucky twice. Either way, there are my strings of choice still after 10+ years. Nothing else out there lasts as long, not even close.
Mark lauderdale –
This is the best bass strings ever and the longest and sharpest sounding bass strings. Wow
Koldunya –
Didn’t realize I was buying 1 string. I reread the discription and realized my mistake. But at least I got an extra high string in case 1 pops. That 6th string could be an issue some times.
Dwightpaige –
that’s about all there is to it. Be nice if Elixir made a dedicated 6-string set 😉
