the book in emergency procedures need more pictures but in general it is perfect and brief and to the point ๐
Dr. Jodi A. Holcomb –
What I really like about it is can be put on my Kindle! There are drawbacks for sure, but I do relief work which means I work at many clinics. Many havenโt updated their vet libraries in YEARS, which is frustrating. I have a number of books, but certainly not feasible to carry them with me everywhere I go. Kindle is a god-send. Yes, sometimes access can be slow depending on the internet speed, and certainly nothing takes the place of a textbook (in my opinion) especially regarding pictures. But this is certainly a good and viable alternative. I still have my original Plunkett book but when upgrading and updating decided to give the eBook a try. Itโs not bad at all. It is laid out in logical form, and very much like the previous edition of Plunkett, just an eBook.
Kindle books work for me because I have at least 10 vet med books on it, and Iโm happy with the format. EBooks are not for everyone, but I certainly would recommend this one…even if you donโt work in the ER. Thereโs a lot of everyday crisis management information provided as well.

Excellent guide to hundreds of veterinary emergencies. Its format is very compact and organized well, so within a minute or two, you will have some ideas for a diagnostic and treatment plan. The comprehensive index is one of the strongest points of the book, so you are not stuck searching through the book.
