Use these in a trail camera. Nothing beats them for life and longevity in extreme weather conditions. We used these in +40 to -40 conditions and they last well over a year. Very pleased.

Important to me is that these Lithium batteries have a starting voltage of at least 1.5V. I will have to report later how long they lasted in a remote temperature sensor..

Had these in a blink camera. Only lasted about a month. Any batteries don’t last as long as they used to.

So one of my Nest Smoke alarms alerted me that i needed to change the batteries after three years and they recommend using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries for replacement. I honestly was surprised by the cost when I looked at my local store but was able to pick up this twelve pack at a great price so that I could change out the batteries in both of my smoke detectors. I can recommend these batteries as they lasted more than three years and I use the smoke detectors night light feature constantly. I will be back for more in 2022, but you don’t need to wait that long.

This is the brand that came with my Blink cameras, so this is what I ordered for some additional cameras I added. The initial batteries have been running for over 3 years, so the brand is definitely worth the price!

Energizer AA Lithium Batteries: $13.53 for an 8-pack at the time of review

I never used to buy Lithium AA batteries. Theyโ€™re pretty expensive per cell, and with the advancements in rechargeables, Iโ€™d rather buy something I can reuse some 1500 times before I have to recycle it. Butโ€ฆ In the last 10 years or so, a new class of device (many of which connect to the internet) has come along that has higher power demands. Things like internet-connected smoke detectors and door locks have a demand that outpaces Alkaline and NiMh batteries. So for those things, I turn to Energizer Lithium.

    *What I liked*:

I said it once already and Iโ€™ll say it again. These are the gold standard of AA batteries. I keep a regular supply in my house as I have no less than 4 gadgets that use them. The bad news is that they are spendy but the good news is that they last a long time. I get an average of 3 YEARS out of a set of 6 in my Nest smoke detectors. I tried normal Alkaline AAs and they didnโ€™t quite last 8 months. Thatโ€™s a huge difference.

    *What I didn’t like*:

I have two complaints about these and they are both minor. The first is about the price. The cheapest I can find them for is on Amazon and that is still $1.69/battery (in the 8-pack). They can be had cheaper if you buy the combo pack w/ AAA batteries, but I donโ€™t have any high-drain AAA devices so itโ€™s a waste for me.

The second complaint is that they are harder to recycle. I have to include them in my hazardous waste recycling, which I have to take on my own to the recycling center. A little added hassle, but not by much when Iโ€™m going there anyhow.

    *The Bottom Line:*

These batteries are fantastic. Full stop. They do cost more, but boy do you get what you pay for. Add my voice to the chorus of over 25000 5-star reviews. These are the BEST around. So, itโ€™s unsurprising that my score is five stars out of five. I re-buy these whenever I need more.

I first used these batteries in game cameras in a conservation area. They lasted at least 2 times as long as standard alkaline batteries – maybe longer. That part is great. Less great, they are very pricey, but for me, where the cameras were difficult to access it was worth it. Another lesser issue, I think they maintain rated voltage up until just before the very end of life. For the cameras, that meant they showed 100% charge for over a year, but when they died, it was with little or no warning. If you have an application where you are measuring state of charge, it may not work well.
