Research, analytical work. A very effective product!
3 monitors, at a convenient angle adjustment, and a very decent design! Satisfaction! (^_^)/ Good!!!

Be careful with this one. It does not support three 16×9 newer monitors. The bar
is not long enough and the springs are not strong enough. It does work great
for two monitors though.

This last year I upgraded from using dual monitors to triple monitors when I built a new computer for my office. The monitors I bought were nice 19″ models with thin outer bezels, but they did not have height adjustment, and it quickly began to bother me trying to use three monitors that were not at proper eye level. After significant research on reviews, prices and features, I settled on ordering this stand, and am very pleased with my selection.
This stand is a solid, heavy, quality unit, which came in a huge box. I was anxious to get it set up, and tore into it immediately upon delivery. The included hardware had everything needed to mount my monitors to the stand, and it wasn’t hard to get set up. The only minor quibble I have is the directions were incorrect in which direction to adjust the tension knob on height, and I initially thought I had a defective stand. Finally, I tried turning the opposite direction as instructed, and got the tension right to hold the monitors in place where I want them. I am so happy with the end result, that I can’t dock it a star for bad directions.
The stand will allow you to rotate your monitors from landscape to portrait orientation easily while still mounted on the stand. There is a nice range of height and tilt adjustment to position the monitors just how you want them, and the curve of the stand is just the right angle with the outer monitors at a slight angle towards the center.
It is very stable, sturdy, and frees up desk space under the monitors that was wasted with three individual stands. I now have my stapler, tape dispenser, sticky note holder, and camera dock all within easy reach in front of me under the monitors.
I am now looking to upgrade my home pc setup from a double display to a triple, and will use this stand again. It took a short time to get used to a triple display from double, but I wouldn’t go back to a double or, shudder to think of it, single display.
I had never heard of Ergotron before finding this stand, but I am very pleased and will shop their products again when looking at mounts, stands, arms, etc. for keyboards, monitors, computers, and the like. Also, the service, prices and speed of shipping from Amazon can’t be beat.

I use with 3 x Monitors which worked well for a number of years. Just beware that the monitors need to have a sufficient combined weight to overcome the force of the springs – so put some thought into your workstation design.

It’s was missing a piece when I got it… couldn’t use it… looks like it was a returned item

This version of the triple monitor stand is very old technology AVOID This unit was designed for 1st generation monitors that were far heavier than anything produced in the last few years, and has a heavy duty spring incorporated to assist the lift mechanism.
The spring is so strong, that it is impossible to lower the monitor arm,….even with three monitors loaded onto it!,
I returned it because it was not fit for purpose. It was extremely well made, and I have ended up buying the Ergatron (the same company) series 100′ which does the same job, but simply relies on a turn screw to fasten the monitor arm vertical position. It works a treat, looks the dogs……….and I am very happy with the new unit.
Just a shame no one had done this review when I bought mine. Tip: If the stand has as ‘ V ‘ configuration on the base stand…..avoid!!

This stand is great for those with 2 or 3 monitors looking to free up some desk space as well as the ability to move and tilt all monitors in unison. It is well built and looks good while also being easy to use.
The stand is well packaged with every component supported by thick cardboard forms. Assembly of the stand itself took less than 5 minutes and required only a #2 philips head screwdriver (not included). Installing the monitors is probably the most difficult part of the setup. The brackets that mount to the back of the monitors and the horizontal support beam of the stand are easy enough to install, requiring four phillips head screws per monitor. Thumb screws were also included in the event that the plastic spacers are not need between the monitors and support brackets. Mounting the middle monitor is a cinch and presented no problem. If you’re not somewhat coordinated and able to hold the side monitors using one hand / arm then you’ll need to enlist the assistance of another person. The weight of the first side monitor installed will cause the stand to tip towards that side unless pressure is applied to the opposite end to counteract the weight.
After the monitors are installed it takes a few minutes to get the tension of the height and tilt mechanisms adjusted properly with the included t-handle allen wrench. It’s very easy to reposition the monitors horizontally for perfect alignment – unscrew the clamp holding the monitor to the support beam, position to your liking and tighten the clamp again.
My setup consists of three dissimilar monitors (Dell 2408WFP center flanked by two Dell 2007FP). The clamps supporting the outer monitors are at the very extents of the horizontal support beam, but not overlapping the black plastic end caps, with 3/16″ of space between each monitor in this configuration. This setup is still 10 lbs shy of the listed maximum 48 lbs. With the stand mounted on a desk 26″ high and approximately 13″ from the back of the vertical tower to the rear edge of the desk, standard 6′ power cables are a little short to utilize the cable management channel that is built-in to the back of the horizontal support beam. Consider purchasing longer power cords if you are looking for the cleanest wiring setup.
One thing to note regarding this item, at least in my experience, is that it was shipped via a freight service (Ceva) and not UPS as is usually the case for Amazon. My presence was required to sign for the package though the freight company did contact me to ensure I would be available to receive it at which time they gave me a four delivery hour window.
