They have a very beautiful ring to them.

I used DR strings for years until I tried Ernie Ball Cobalt strings. These strings have fantastic tone and they feel very smooth under your fingers. Everyone has their own idea about how long they should go between string changes. If Iโ€™m playing gigs regularly I change strings after every show, otherwise I change them about every three months. Cobalts last for those intervals easily. Tone, harmonics, feel, and durability, these strings have it all. I donโ€™t know what more you could ask for from a set of strings.

I have used the Ernie Ball Slinkys for almost 20 years now. for good reason, cost and reliability. The only breaks that usually occur are on sets of 9’s, but the 10’s seem to hold up even under heavy attack for at least 2-3 full hour longs sets before they loose their luster and need a fresh set. However, lately as I have been doing more recording, I needed something with a little extra sparkle. These Cobalt strings really did the trick! I noticed the difference right away and they seem to last much longer than the regular Ernie Ball Slinkys. Give them a try!

Ernie Ball makes great products, especially their strings. I purchased the Cobalt’s based on a recommendation from a friend who only uses Cobalt’s. The strings are very durable and stay in tune but seem too stiff to me even after stretching the strings. I did not think they lasted as long as I was hoping. I will continue with regular slinky strings instead of cobalt’s.

Suprising that there are any bad reviews on these strings. Unbelievable the difference a string can make. I usually use Slinky 0.10 these make a really nice sustaining ring to your guitar, bright and strong. Each string stands out. Reminds me of the guitar sound of Tom Petty.
I will use these strings from now on.

I put these on a Mitchell MD200 and it sounds amazing. They feel nice on my fingers, I love the rich, full sound they put out, and they stay in tune way better than the regular steel strings I was using. I see myself using these well into the future.

Kind of a noob but have been playing long enough that I’ve tried a few types of strings and thought, “there’s not much difference”. These are the first ones that felt and sounded noticeably better. Stretched quick and stay in tune. Feel much better than regular slinky EBs and just feel way more responsive and “connected” to my fingers. Great strings!!

Great strings that are very articulate. They also feel good and stay in tune very well ( of course part of that is the guitar).
