Product looks good, works great, heats fast. With the help retractable chord keeping it off the counter and smaller size, it takes up little room on the counter. Easly warms 2 cups for my mom with no worry about her walking away and leaving pot on the stove. Excellent safety as it shuts off automatically, no fear of boiling dry.

My little Proctor/Silex kettle had a major design flaw: light-weight kettle paired with a heavy electrical cord. Very unstable. After a few months, the inevitable happened: the plug/cord combination started sagging away from the socket in the kettle. I had to put a folded dishcloth under the cord to keep it plugged in. Dangerous. This Evatek kettle is much better. Sturdy kettle, heavy cord. But my, oh my, the odor and the taste of the water were awful. Boiled it 20 times with fresh water each time. Still awful. Almost returned it. Then hit upon the idea of sacrificing a charcoal shoe deodorizer! Cut shoe deodorizer open, put all the charcoal into the kettle, filled it with water and left it for 24 hours. It worked!! Odor gone; tea and coffee taste good. A keeper – though almost not.
Update – Used the Evatek kettle daily and all was fine for 8 months. Suddenly the bad odor and taste (burnt rubber, burnt plastic) returned. Tried the charcoal method again. Did not work this time. So now I have a functioning but unusable kettle that I guess will go into the trash.

My husband wanted a kettle for his transport so he can make himself a coffee or a noodle soup. This is the perfect size, fits a full bottle of water.

There is Nothing I don’t like except not supporting American Workers & Industry… Which I always try first to do first. But… Very Sadly, even old standard “American” manufacturers are mostly outsourcing or internationally owned. (No?) So Anyway, Perfect Size… Not Heavy at all even with it’s just over 3 cups of water capacity. Very Easy to Clean. No Grand Internally or externally lit Space Ship Landing Gear Lights. Just a little glow from the outside thru three slits in it’s dime size heating indicator. It heats in ample time. From start when filled to Max it turns off in 6 min. 20 seconds… But it is fully boiling by about 5 or a little less. And So Importantly too, for limited budgets or during storm outages and generator use, it is ONLY 600 watts… (maybe 705… see below review) It’s Great if you aren’t fixing coffee or tea for an entire family or an army… Hate to Love It… But only because it’s not made in USA. We’ve only had it a couple of weeks… So can’t comment on longevity. It’s lovely, especially for everyday use…. UPDATE. 3 1/2 weeks later. We did not boil it dry but it began to have a very bad burnt rubber smell like the wire on the heating element was overheated and the smell and taste permeated the water. So we returned it and repurchased a small glass carafe electric kettle… but Only because we were not using this one for travel. We were given a refund and I’m sure they would have replaced it if we had selected that option. It probably was just a fluke… Still miss it and love the size and everything above. So nice for everyday use… Come on USA mgfs.

Love the insulation so it’s not hot to handle. Love the placement of the on/off switch. Good solid button that’ll last daily use. It’s great for 2 cups! It’s small, light and travels well.

I wanted a kettle that wouldn’t stress my hands, so hesitated when I saw that some people got lids that were difficult to remove. Thankfully, my lid is *very* easy to remove. I’m finding this kettle to be way easier on me than my last one (for reference, my old one was glass, 1 liter, and the common roundish shape). The ease of use between them is night and day!
The handle on this Evatek kettle is comfortable to grip and the kettle can be lifted and poured with minimal effort. For someone with occasional issues in their hands / joints / wrists etc, this is important. Also, if I need to, I can safely put supporting fingers on the opposite side while pouring. I think someone mentioned it was too hot to touch, but I find it isn’t a problem to touch the sides, even immediately after it shuts off. I would describe the temperature as “quite warm” but not hot. The on/off switch is conveniently at the top, unlike my last kettle which had the switch awkwardly situated below the handle.
Another thing I love about this kettle: if I’m heating water while I’m standing nearby, I leave the lid off. I can pour some of the water out (to dampen a tea bag for instance), and when I set it back on the base to come to a boil, it’s still on. My last kettle shut off whenever it was lifted. The base is working really well for storing the cord, so I like that feature too.
Longevity: it’s only been a month, so too soon to tell. I find electric kettles with stainless steel inside eventually have some rust appear somewhere, usually up around the top. On this one I’m expecting it might occur at the spout or the little screw that’s in the inside center of the lid. To try to keep this from happening as long as possible, I’m drying the under-side of the lid after every use (quick & easy) and then the inside of the spout I’m drying whenever I know I’m done with the kettle for the day (a bit fussy to do; I use the handle of a spoon to poke the corner of a thin towel in there).
Price: at $32 (8/23) it seems pricey – like everything else lately! But, after all the research I did looking for a lightweight kettle, I can’t imagine any other that would have been this perfect for my needs. I did wonder if the small size would be an issue, but have found there’s way more water than needed for my mug.
I’ve got the “split base” green. The color is soft & sort of “spa-like”, as pictured. I suppose you could call it light mint, but where I’m using it I have a lot of turquoise / soft blue and the color fits in nicely.

I absolutely love this little hot water pot. I got the teal and it is so cute. I smile every time I use it, it heats up very quickly. I’ve not done a full pot yet, as it is just me. I took it to my small houseboat, and it is perfect and compact enough. I had a small coffee pot, that lasted 4 months, so switched it out with this. So glad I did.

I want to use this kettle for travelling, but I noticed that the electrical power cord is extremely short. It’s only about 9″ from the kettle base to the wall outlet. I used regular tap water to boil for twice before using the kettle and noticed that the bottle metal already has spots. I’m hoping when I actually use the kettle with filtered water, the spots will disappear.

Great little kettle, boils fast. Easy to use and care for
