I was worried that a product this inexpensive would not be accurate. It actually is accurate when tested in conjunction with more expensive thermometers and hygrometers. The only drawback seems to be that it is a little slow to adjust to changes in temps (example, put it in the refrigerator then take it out. It takes awhile for the temp to start climbing). Its also small enough to monitor incubator conditions.

temperate and humidity are very close. not perfect but good +/-2 2 degrees / percent of humidity. I recommend for the housing of a crested gecko. avoid spraying water on this directly though. this is the second one i bought… i had one that lasted about 3 years! so worked well enough to make me want to buy another.

Works well, and doesn’t take up much space. Seems to be accurate readings of both temperature and humidity levels. Slides right onto the top of my Exo Terro lid, and the coated wire is small enough to fit into the notch opening on the screen lid. Battery operated, so no additional plug ins needed. Would reccomend purchasing!

I love it, it helps me regulate the temperature/ hydrometer more effectively. I have cresties and I understand that it is unhealthy if temps are as high as 85 degrees and if the max temp reads within 2-3 degress of that range I adjust my light fixture further away. My cresties seem more lively now that the terrarium is a bit more comfortable.
There is a max (highest temp/ hydro reading), min (lowest temp/ hydro reading), and current reading features. However you have to reset the max/min every day if you want to get your daily reading. I do this every day I wake up. it literally takes 2 seconds to do and I can get my range at the end of the day and see if I need to adjust the light.

Pretty accurate after it stabilizes, so it’s good for constant readings of an environment.
Cons:
Temperature takes FOREVER to stabilize. I thought it wasn’t working for awhile, as it was reading 72 degrees (my room temp) in an 80 degree tank; I eventually left it in for awhile, and it finally adjusted. It still was a few degrees off my other thermometers.
Humidity is much more accurate, but it is still off by a few %.
It’s useable, but I wouldn’t buy again for my purposes.

I purchased this to go with an Exo Terra terrarium with Exo Terra light hood – as it is designed to slide into the groove on the light hood and goes through the cable ports in the top of the terrarium. It looks very slick! I am very happy with the way it looks. When I first got it the readings appeared correct. But within a couple of weeks the humidity reading dropped significantly, though there was no change in-cage. I tried a few things, testing it in different situations, and it is definitely reading incorrectly. It does seem to be giving an accurate temperature reading though. I generally like Exo Terra branded products and find them to be of high quality, and love how this is designed to work with the other products, but it has two functions, and doesn’t do one of them correctly, so unfortunately this one is a fail for me.

I have had this for about two months and it is still working perfectly. It is very sensitive to temperature change as well as humidity fluctuations. I am using it in a hermit crab tank and really like the option to put the sensor inside the tank and the display outside of the tank. I am using it to monitor air conditions as opposed to substrate conditions. I added Dual lock strips to mount it instead of the suction cups as those did not work at all. This type of temperature and humidity gauge rarely lasts very long and are usually not that accurate, this one has been really exceptional. For a device in this price range I would definitely give it five stars.

This lasted nearly 2 years before the humidity gauge stopped being accurate. I verified its accuracy throughout its life with two different types of gauges. It rapidly reads and adjusts to changes in both temps tire and humidity. For the price this lasted a long time and functioned very well. I would still recommend and I am purchasing again.

I have one that I use for ambient room readings for temp and humidity. Never had an issue with the data, looks “good enough for government work” to me, and aligns with other gear I have. Used one inside of an animal enclosure before, but switched to dedicated units because of snakes tendency to poop/pee on stuff, and replacing just a hygrometer is cheaper.
