This machine is AWESOME! I’ve been through a couple of other wire binding machines and this is definitely the easiest to use. The paper gets a clean punch and it makes projects look so professional.

The machine itself looks nice (well made, easy to use).
But note that this is the US Model designed for Letter sized paper. It only has 32 loops (not the 34 needed for A4).
The description needs to be updated, as it does not reference the 32 loops.
Don’t go by the images – they show a 34 loop model (obviously, Fellowes has not updated their images).

If you need the 32 loop model – 5 stars
If you need the 34 loop model …

I have been a prime member with Amazon for many years and purchase many items. We bought this knowing it was “satisfaction guaranteed, 30 days return”. It does not work for our purpose. We would not know that if we don’t try it. NOW we cannot return it. Amazon will not take it back because Fellowes will not take it back because it is used (if you call trying it for two minutes “used”). If you can’t try it, how do you know if it is what you want. $500 is too much to lose.

I was making memo pads with a manual machine… what a pain. This machine is such an improvement! Well worth the extra bucks…

This is an excellent machine for my small business of doing manuals about 100 double-sided pages. I’m giving it four stars because it doesn’t tell you how many pages to use of the 28 pound paper. The standard paper is 15 pages I think I don’t remember but it’s safe to use at 10 pages of the heavier paper.
The other gripe that I have is when the closure closes on the wire it’s not perfectly parallel it could be that I have a defect I don’t know so I just crimp it and then flip the book around 180 and crimp the other side.
All in all I like this machine a lot and I’m very happy that I bought it.

I just got it out of the box today and have nothing but good things to say. The machine is very well built, sturdy and does exactly as advertised. The instruction manual explained everything in easy to understand language. I have tried it with Fellowes’ bindings that they sent with the kit and also with bindings I purchased from another manufacturer. The machine worked with both of them without a hitch. I had no trouble operating this equipment and it even looks nice in our office. I expect to get many good years of use from this machine. It was worth every penny.

with a small to medium size orders on spiral bound books.

This gets the job done and you will be happy with it. The price alone on amazon is way better then what I was seeing it for in other online shops ($400+). I run a small printing company. I do custom orders on spiral bound books and this has met all those custom order needs. The compact design of this is nice and the overall design is pleasing (not trying to sound like a robot there, its actually pretty sleek). If it came in black I would be super stoked. Stores great under my flat file.

Only reason (in my opinion) this isn’t getting 5 stars is that fact once you have paper over 20lb text weight get ready to only feed a handful of pages to punch at a time. Example, I use 60lb double sided inkjet paper and can only punch 5 sheets at a time. It becomes time consuming when punching a book over 20 pages.

I would highly recommend this to any that does custom spiral bound book jobs. If your companies main focus is putting together spiral bound books every day then I would got for a heavy duty piece of equipment.

I have already used this to bind sheet music and a pictorial booklet, both using the 1/4” spirals. I messed up the spiral on my first try but learned from my mistake in over tightening. This works perfectly for my small personal projects. Binder has a very lovely design and excellent, sturdy quality. I like the manual binder because I don’t have to plug it in. Works great for my occasional projects.
