If you think you are getting the old style strings ( as in their photo, and far superior strings IMO), Then you will be disappointed, you will get the new strings see photo attached.. Still a good price for not so good strings though.

Wasn’t expecting much due to the low price, but these feel and sound pretty good. Decently tight string and haven’t gone flat tonally yet after a month.

    Hello

I’ve been playing Electric Bass for 6 years now, piano for 3 years, and Electric Guitar for 2 years. When it comes to my Fender P – Bass, Nickel Plated strings are the way to go.
As some one who has gone through the pain of trying multiple brands of strings, probably tried at least 12 different types, all at over $20 a package! I must say, Nickel is King!
Something about them, the way they “glide” is just right. Although other types may give the heavy “boom” that you’re looking for, these are not only versatile, long lasting & warm, but they are the best for your fret-ting hand.
As opposed to something that is nylon, for example, you can quickly any easily move up and down the neck of the Bass. & whether you play fingers, pick, or slap/pop; every-one can find something they like with these.

Seriosly, if you play Bass & never played Nickel Plated strings, then do yourself a favor & try these ones out!

I love the deep ring of these strings. Once set up, they really don’t stretch. Long lasting.

I’ve used many other strings (GHS, Ernie Ball, D’Addario, etc.) on my late 70’s Fender P Bass and these have a great brightness and depth of a round-wound string. Not that the other strings aren’t just as good, but I’m not seeing much of any difference in sound or durability, plus the price of the factory Fender strings are great.

Best value for money strings which perform fantastically on stage. Sound crisp and bright and wear well over time.
Top tip – dont boil them when dirty, you will kill the integrity of these strings.

Sure D’addario is probably better, and who knows, these Fender bass strings may be made by D’addario for all we know. What I can tell you is that these are a decent, consistent light gauge bass string that are not prone to breaking. The metallurgy is good and the outer wrap and ball wrap are not too tightly wound. These Fender’s do not have a hex-shaped core like D’addarios but work just fine in a pinch, especially for the price. They just may not last as long as the outer wrap separates from the core sooner. Regardless, I would advise all players to use D’addario XL170 light gauge bass strings as the control to judge all other light gauge 45-105 electric bass strings. This is because D’addario is the most consistent string on the market with consistent wrap tension and metallurgy

Probably a little soon to write a review as I’ve only used one set. The price was absolutely amazing for bass strings. How long they stay bright and punchy remains to be seen, so far

Very good product at a good price. There are really only two brands of bass guitar strings I use and one is Fender. The other is DR but they are a tad pricey so it depends how the finances are looking at the time of purchase. But Fenders do the job well.
