Love this Fitbit. Iโve had 3, upgrading each time to a more advanced tracker. I love the HR tracker, sleep analyzer and that it counts flights of stairs. My favorite thing is that itโs waterproof though! I canโt wait for lake season when I donโt have to worry about it getting wet!
The pink color is really nice. Itโs not subtle… itโs a large face. I think I could switch the band to make it more dressy if I wanted- I havenโt though. The band is very soft and comfortable.
I love that it syncs with the app and shows me if worked out hard or just went through the motions. Itโs very motivating for me to have the HR tracker. Iโm happy I splurged on myself and bought this!
Edited to add: this was stated to be waterproof, but I think water resistant is more accurate. As in, if itโs splashed on, no biggie, but donโt jump into a lake with it in! After being submerged at the lake one day, I immediately noticed the battery life decreased from a very impressive 5-6 days to 2 days tops. I dealt with the frequent recharging for several months but have now replaced with the Alta HR 2 because I loved the watch! I just take my new one off before getting it wet!

2019-03-10: One month in, and I’m still in love with it! Maybe even more than in the beginning. I have had no bad experiences, no hardware or software issues. It syncs to my phone/the app perfectly. GPS works great for tracking walks and runs. The heart rate monitor seems sensitive and accurate (although I don’t have anything else to compare it to). Step-tracking seems to work perfectly. The stair/elevation tracking is a little misleading because it only tracks if you increase elevation at least 10 feet in one “go”, but that’s probably about as good as the technology in a teeny wrist watch will get. I’m OK with it.
I typically put the device on the charger while I’m in the shower, but it’s gone 3 days or so without charging and only got down to 30-some percent, which seems like great battery life to me… (It is waterproof and I’ve worn it while doing dishes and cleaning my fish tanks with no issues.)
I love love love the notifications – this allows me to always keep my phone on silent, which I prefer to accidentally having my phone go off at the wrong moment. The discreet vibration and abbreviated message on the Fitbit screen is all I need to see to know who’s messaging/calling/emailing me and I can decide whether or not I need to even look at my phone. This is a total game changer. Yeah, it’s another device to look at, but I definitely pick up my phone LESS now than before, because I already know what the notification is. It’s perfect. Amazing.
As far as the actual point of the Fitbit: YES I am more active – I want to close those circles on the steps and active minutes. I’ve been walking the dog and going to the gym more than ever. I drink more water. I go to bed earlier. I want those stars! At the same time, I’m also careful not to let it take over my life and sometimes a day of relaxation is a good thing – Last Sunday I didn’t even make 3,000 steps and I was OK with that. I drank wine and read a whole book! Everything in moderation. ๐
Generally: fitness trackers seem like a good thing! Use it to help inspire you to reach your goals. Get your friend one, too, for a little camaraderie and competition!
2019-02-09: I have wanted a fitness tracker for a while, not because I’m a gym rat (although I do go to the gym at least once a week) nor do I want to lose weight, but my profession is sedentary and I wanted the reminder to stay active. Something wearable was perfect for me because I have been wearing a watch daily for years, but I never owned (or wanted) a smart watch.
The Versa seems like the perfect balance between high-tech and low-tech for me. It’s attractive, discreet (I have several fashionable analog wristwatches that are much larger), and SHOCKINGLY lightweight. Since my job is corporate/professional, I opted for an alternative metallic band, which I think adds to the beauty.
The watch’s functionality is perfect for me. I love that it doesn’t try to do too much, and that all of the fitness stuff is easily accessible. Being mindful of being active and healthy is huge when you’re busy – it can really get away from you to just drink water and stand up from your desk. I also really like the deep-breathing “game”. I’m excited to use the coaching activities. I wore the watch to my hour long HIIT class at the gym and was satisfied to see the heart rate stats reflect the intensity of the work out. Go me!
The smartphone app is engaging and the animations are cute and captivating to keep you interested in meeting your goals. I love the water-logging feature and I really appreciate the woman’s health tracker. The sleep stats are FASCINATING. My husband got a Versa at the same time and we are really enjoying comparing our sleeps!
I would warn people looking for a smart watch to keep looking. The features and user interface are extremely basic. It’s a fancy activity tracker in the body of a smart watch. Don’t be fooled or get your hopes up.
I’ve only been using the watch for a few days, but I’m excited to see my fitness and health trends take shape. I’d very easily recommend it to anyone looking for the same application. I’ll come back and update this review in the future once I’ve had a chance to plunge the depths of what else it can help me achieve. ๐

After getting mine I noticed it wasn’t holding a charge well and day 3 wouldn’t turn on. I googled easy fixes and sure enough easy fix. It did this a few more times but simple fix. The charge still wasn’t great and after 2 months it wouldn’t come on again and this time the easy fix didn’t work. One easy call and they had my replacement in the mail. My replacement has been GREAT! Holds a charge for 3-4 days, I have worn it swimming with no problems. It was a minor setback having to replace it but the process was super easy. If you are considering upgrading from another fitbit DO IT! I had the Charge 2 prior and glad I upgraded. the music and waterproof is worth the price difference.
**update** mine lasted 3 1/2 years with daily use and normal wear and tear. Still in great shape but sadly didnโt survive my last dip in the hot tub. Will be buying another!

Product loses charge after 1 day repeatedly

This is one of the worst products on Amazon. The watch will keep disconnecting from the phone. Suddenly the language will change to Chinese. It is a task to use the watch. The interface is stupid. I am unhappy with this product and I will not recommend this to anyone.

I got the FitBit Versa because I wanted to try a smart watch without having to buy an expensive Apple Watch. The FitBit is comfortable to wear and looks nice. I like that it tracks my heart rate and steps. What I really wanted was to see my notifications on my watch. This watch allows you to see your notifications and will even vibrate to remind you of events on your phone calendar. It is lacking in a couple areas. Oneโ you can see your notifications but you cannot interact with them at all. It also only shows text, so if someone texts you a gif or emoji it shows up as a blank message. It also doesnโt consistently give me my notifications, but that could be a phone setting issue. Secondโ the available apps are limited. You can play music, but only from a couple platforms. You cannot play Amazon music, audible, Scribd, podcaster… Also, the fertility tracking app for FitBit is ridiculously limiting. It is possibly the worst tracking I have ever seen. Since that is in the realm of health, I think it should be a lot better. It is effectively unusable.
So while this is a cheaper option than others and has heart rate tracking and such, there are still some limitations. It is waterproofโ so I can wear it in the pool. Battery lasts about 3 days on one charge. And you can customize the watch face to your liking.
