Good for large tall prints, colors are far apart on reel . low prints will just be one of the colors.

I’ve only had this spool for about a few days and done a few test prints. I meant to order the matte rainbow, but ordered the silk rainbow by accident. No hard feelings, the silk is beautiful! It’s a super slow fade, like you’d see it on larger objects. Right now I’m printing fidgets for my students, but I got a nice ombré for my second octopus print. There’s a little bit of stringing on certain temps (I found 215 nozzle and 60 bed to be a sweet spot). The print has a few rough spots, which honestly are probably user error and weird slicing on ultimaker rather than the filament. No tangles or issues yet! Will update.

The color is awesome, printed well without issue. Printed a test cube looking from front/door of bed: 9 o’clock side was pink, 3 o’clock side purple, 12& 6 were blended. So rotate the item to control where you want pink or purple. This example has pink inside wings purple outside. Thanks.

I printed the gold on my Bambu Lab X1C I printed this at 230c and slowed the outer walls down to 50mm/s to get this level of shininess. I think it turned out really well.
The only negative/ding I can give this filament is it is a little more orange than I would like, but I am pretty nitpicky. I would buy this again when it runs out.
Their black silk really is more of a dark gray. I don’t feel it’s a good color representation compared to other black silk filaments I have.

Let me start off by saying that I’ve been 3D printing for years now and FLASHFORGE PLA has never let me down. When I ordered this rainbow filament, I didn’t even realize it was silk. If I had known this, I probably wouldn’t have purchased it. my experience with silk PLA hasn’t been the best and I tend to avoid it at this point. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how great this rainbow silk filament has been. No issues at all and the colors are rich and vibrant!
FLASHFORGE has never let me down and I don’t think I’ve ever had any issues printing in any of their filaments so far. I run a small shop, so high quality materials that don’t give me a fuss are very important to me.
