THE PERFECT SAND. Literally the perfect sand for first time purchase. I got the 2 6lb pack. It filled up the perfect amount of space for my 10.5 gallon tank. It’s enough for my hermit crabs to burrow, and deep enough for me to plant their hideout huts.

I have three hermit crabs who just love this sand. It doesn’t clump or get caught in their shells and when its time for molting or burrowing under to sleep they do so with ease. Would recommend. Kind of expensive but it stays moist long rather than drying up.

I really love that this sand is already clean, I dumped some in a big bowl to give it a quick wash with purified water to be rid of any dust or contaminants but nothing came off, it was already clean. It’s also a really nice fine grain sand that’s not itchy or damaging to touch with sensitive skin like mine and it was easy to wipe off my hand with a paper towel when I needed to pick up other things while getting ready.
This sand is the base (mixed with some vermiculite) for several little aquariums I’m experimenting with right now, using it to grow Tiny Leaf and Dwarf Hair Grass for some Rotifers and Triops to have a natural food source, oxygen source and hiding places to feel safe. So far it’s growing the underwater plants really well and they are growing quickly (about a half inch per day for the Dwarf Hair Grass). I already ordered more for more experiments and I’m very happy with it all around.

Exactly what a hermit crab needs. Coconut husk is already mixed in so you don’t need anything in addition to this. Just be aware – for a 10-gallon tank, we needed 6 of these for a 4-5 inch bed of substrate. So 1 bag is definitely not enough.

It’s good! bag is a lot smaller then I thought but I guess you don’t need a huge bag for two crabs.

Great sand with coconut fibers for her crab tanks. It is moist and stays moist in the crab tank or other reptile terrain.
There is 6 lbs of sand and it is a good amount. My 50 lb tank is quarter sand, about 4-5 in deep. I bag was enough.
The quality, smell and appearance are definitely the what I like most about it. The price is about the same as other bags of sand.
This mom definitely recommends this product for anyone who needs to fill a reptile tank, especially hermit crab tank with sand.

My crabs love this sand and it is pre-moist. Mabe not the cheapest, but to me the best. No need for mixing and all. Easy peasy.
