This makes it so easy to keep my crickets feed and watered. Has the best nutrition. I feed my beardie the crickets and I know he is getting the nutrition he needs because the crickets are getting the nutrients they need.
Shaunna Boyd –
Great for added calcium

These cubes are perfect for live crickets. They tend to dry out fairly quickly so I dip them in water before I put them in a cage/container for cricket consumption.

Just kidding. Even my crickets seem hesitant to eat them, and keep in mind these arent great cricket food as a daily meal- consider them a supplement, meant to gutload your bugs with nutrients that are ultimately intended for your pet. I toss them in the day before with the crickets slated for the gallows or when i know i’ll be away for a day to stop them from eating each other. Too much calcium makes the molting process difficult and eventually fatal- the molt becomes too hard and brittle for them to squeeze out of and they suffocate in it. But, great value and as far as i know they dont go ‘bad’.

Finally I can buy crickets in bulk from the pet store without worrying about them dying in their cage versus my reptiles mouth, lol!
Ally cat –
Crickets love it but it dries out very fast.

arrived dark orange/ brown and was dry. the lid was stuck on with orange goopy mess that was once the product i thought i was buying. Not sure if its safe to feed my crickets because I dont want to get my cresties sick. Normally the cricket food is bright orange and smells good and is perfect for my crickets. what happend?

So I ordered this online, because it was cheap, and then went looking for crickets, and bought the crickets from Flukers. This means Flukers is likely to have been feeding them this diet already, so it’s unlikely they’ll all die in 24 hours.
The only downside to ordering crickets from Flukers was that all of the crickets are dead set on escaping and they missed on staple, so the few hundred crickets I bought for my Geckos started to escape in my room before I caught them.
I ended up having to plug up the bathtub, put the box in there and set up my cricket bin. I put Eco Earth in the bottom with some garden soil and earthworms and then egg crates. This meant there was already moisture in the box, which guards against the high summer temperatures. Then I put in this cricket food. Starved, they ate the food quickly, decimating the 8 cubes in 2 days. And guess what? They didn’t die, probably because they were trained on this food.
I did notice that different cultures of crickets act differently. Subconscious selection, maybe. But the Fluker’s crickets are straight escape artists. A bunch of them tried to escape. But they were also easy to gut load on this food.
The major chain brand crickets I buy tend to be super docile and don’t move quickly. They die quickly too… which confuses my geckos when I switch between crickets.
And then my local petstore, has really active, but not escape-minded crickets.
Either way, Flukers crickets are pretty happy eating Flukers’ products (no shocker), so when I cut down on the escaping cricket population, the rest of the population doesn’t seem to mind as much to eat this food. Also, the mealworms I gave this to seemed pretty content to eat it as well. I don’t really have complaints–except for Flukers for breeding escape-minded crickets. But the food worked for me.
They might want to consider making one that’s not citrus flavored, though, so people with arachnids can also benefit from gut loaded insects. I read that arachnids hate citrus and there is a whole bunch of it in this product.

Was quite skeptical prior to purchasing if these cubes would actually keep my crickets alive more than 2 days. And, in fact, they did. There’s still die-off, but I’ve had my crickets still alive 7 days after purchase using these cubes, which is a big win. The scent is awesome, orange ๐, like the color. Plus dubias will monch happily too.
Tracy –
This isn’t just for crickets. I give it to my bearded dragons dubia’s. This can be fed to any insect your gut loading along with their other foods before feeding your beardie
Kugan –
Crickets use them, but why do the cubes smell so weird! They stink the whole tub out! Lol keeping the feeders alive and thriving so it’s all good

Great and easy to use product. I keep thousands of crickets at a time for the herps. And this product makes it so simple to use and clean up! My crickets thrive on this stuff, and naturally.Works as it should. Crickets stay alive longer.I order thousands at a time & they last week’s longer & stay healthier, amazing.

The crickets love it and seem to be doing quite well. They polished off a small bowl full in 24 hours. I love the fact that this allows for me to gut load my crickets so that theyโre a better quality meal for my bear die.
