I’ve used this bench a few times now. Truthfully, I kind of wish I had done a bit more research or just went for it and purchased a better brand. This one will do, but it’s not as sturdy as I would like. It’s not great for all bench exercises such as reverse sit ups. The seat is not fixed in place enough. The bolt provided to set the positions still allows the seat to wiggle if you put any reverse stress on it at all, making that movement in particular almost impossible. Hard to explain, but I hope that makes sense. If I hadn’t already bought this bench, I’d probably look elsewhere.

We’re adding some gym equipment to our garage to make it easier to get a quick workout in. I used this bench for just a minute after assembly to test it out; it seems like decent quality. Super easy to assemble; it comes about 90% pre-assembled. Weighty so hopefully sturdy. The four base feet are adjustable which I find super nifty if you’re on a slightly uneven surface. I like the versatility of the bench; it can be adjusted to a variety of positions depending on the exercise you want to do. Overall, I’d say this is a pretty solid purchase. Only time will tell really. I’ll try to remember to give an update after a few months. Really hoping it lasts.

Here’s what I’ll say… there’s a lot to like about this bench.
LIKED:
1) It comes pretty much assembled.
2) I really liked the wider base this bench provides vs others I’ve tried. It gives the bench a much more study feel when you lay on it.
3) I liked the way multiple positions LOCK into place with a pull bolt vs simply resting in a notch. While this makes it slightly more difficult to adjust… you have to pull the bolt and slide the back to the desired position before locking it back into place… it’s really not THAT difficult to adjust and you get the further benefit that the seat locks into place. This makes it MUCH easier to move and/or lift the bench without it coming apart on you, which is often necessary is a small home gym.
4) Support: the team Fly Bird has been very responsive and helpful.
INDIFFERENT:
It says it comes with “good 2 inch soft foam padding”… while this may be true… I’d describe it as comfortable enough, but still not the most comfortable bench you’ll ever use. Certainly nothing worth bragging about when compared to a bench you might find at an actual gym.
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT:
1) Would have liked the top portion of the bench to be a little longer.
2) Perhaps my biggest complaint (and definitely why I cannot give this 5 stars)… when laid flat (ie: bench press), the GAP between the upper and lower portion of the bench felt waaaaaaay to big for my comfort. It felt like there was a big hole under my back that lacked support. I can’t say this would bother everyone, but for me personally… I prefer as much of a solid back support up and down my back as I can get, and the gap with this bench was a bit too much for my complete comfort.

Very impressed so far. The bench came mostly assembled — the legs needed to be attached and the foot holding bar. All the necessary hardware was included and very easy to assemble.
There was a slight wobble initially that turned out to be because I had not fully tightened the bolts for the legs. Was very sturdy after that. The bench is a little on the narrow side, so that could present some stability issues where the whole bench could tip over. But that’s the trade off for getting a more compact bench.
the seat and back adjustments are both very smooth and easy to operate. The spring lock pins easily lock and unlock the positions.
The foot holding bar has a number of adjustment options, but I found that it felt a little too small to be comfortable.
Overall this seems great for the price. I wouldn’t use this bench for barbells or perhaps anywhere near the 800lb max it claims, but I think it will be great for dumbbells and similar types of exercises.
