I use this mainly to check the temperature of my babie’s formula. Outside of the bottle at 111-113 is perfect for her. No more checking the temp on my wrist or the back of my hand means more food in her belly and no more mess.
I got this temperature by first checking the temperature on the back of my hand and then checking the temperature of the bottle with the thermometer right away. I did this a few times in the beginning to compare the varying temp readings between 111 and 113. Works perfectly every time.
The only thing I would change would be a way to change the default mode of what your checking. Every time you turn the thermometer on it goes to body temperature. Like I said before, I’m checking an object 99% of the time and the delayed time of switching modes annoys me. I am a very impatient person.

This is great for quick readings during clinical and to take multiple temperatures fast and without much personal contact. Overall I do love this for the ease, but when I need good accurate measurements I use an oral thermometer. This is a good overall range thermometer and does the job well for less serious measurements. 4 stars. lightweight. good screen. readable. fast results. not as accurate as oral thermometers.

Update: Changed to three stars. I eventually found the section in the little booklet how to operate it and through trial and error figured it out. Still a pain though because it always reads “Lo” when I turn it on.
Original: The instruction book is terrible. Walks through all the technical aspects and modes to use but there isn’t a “here’s how to operate it” section. When turned on it reads “Lo”. So I changed the batteries and still says “Lo” even though the battery indicator shows fully charged batteries. I press scan and wipe across my forehead but can’t tell if its doing anything. There’s no beep, when you press the mode and then press scan it doesn’t clear the previous info on the screen, there’s no beep, there’s no change to the screen indication its doing anything so I have no idea if it’s ready or not. I scan and the previous info is still on the screen. Did it work? I have no idea.

Due to the pandemic, I need a thermometer for daily use. After browsed all the related products listed on amazon i decided to buy this one. It arrived two days after I placed the ordered, which was very speedy. Easy to set up: install the two batteries ( came with the thermometer) and then you are good to go. One surprising bonus I found was that you can switch between celsius and fahrenheit, which is very convenient. So far I have used it for about half a month, it works well as it always did. Therefore i come back to leave a 5 star comment, which they literally deserve it! Buy this product if you need one! Highly recommend it!

This thermometer was so easy to set up and also came with 2 batteries. It is also very easy to use, no need for directions. I use to have a forehead one where you would slide it across but now my baby loves this and it is not a fight to take his temperature.

I purchased this thermometer a year and five months ago as a primary thermometer in our medicine cabinet. Two days ago my wife called me to tell me our youngest felt hot but the thermometer was not working. She changed the batteries and nothing! Dead. Luckily I had a spare from (that was four years old) and that worked fine. Very disappointed.

I bought this and right out of the box, it seemed pretty easy to use. I did find it to be someone inaccurate at first with it being skewed 1 degree too low. I read the directions that came with it and found that there is a way to adjust it so that it is more accurate. I was able to adjust it pretty easily, so now it works great.
The whole reason I bought this was because I was sick of trying to find a good place to put the older digital monitor where it tracked the temperature accurately. Even if it did it accurately, sometimes it would take a couple of minutes of sitting there holding it. With this thermometer, the feedback is immediate and easy – just point it right at the forehead, hold the button down for a second or so, and its done. Easy as that!
