Full Moon Chicken Jerky Healthy Dog Treats 12 oz

I’ve gone through many Beef Jerky products for dogs over my thirty plus years of caring for these amazing animals. I am a big Beef Jerky fan as well. I decided to try this product for my large dog. So many alternative Beef Jerky products for dogs (and humans) are soft, rubbery, and have a waxy feel. This product not only smells like quality Beef Jerky, but you can also see and feel, density, color and smell. It warms my heart seeing the quality and care taken in producing this product. I even say the words “Jerky Treats” he shoots directly to the cabinet.

I know that many of you are as careful about what you feed your dogs as we are. The full Moon products are human grade snacks with human grade ingredients and the dogs love them. Our hound has something of a sensitive stomach and does not think twice about throwing up on the rug if something does not agree with him. We do not have these products and he loves them to the point that he will search me out and give the big moon eyes until I give him a snack.

I am furious as I write this! I have been buying this product for many years, if memory serves, I started seeing it on the market after all of the problems that were reported from chicken jerky treats manufactured in China. Sometimes these are hard to find at local stores, I purchase them from local grocery, big box stores as well as Amazon. My order history shows I have ordered these 49 times.
Over the past few months, I have been receiving bags that were not right. Sometimes, it was the texture, they were too hard/very sharp upon breaking them. But there was another problem, a white powder coating that was all over the treats. You could sometimes see it in the bag on the treats, but a bigger problem was that the white powder did not develop until after you take the treats out of the bag and give them to your dog.
My dogs don’t always consume their treats right away. I noticed a thick white powder appearing on some of their treats they did not eat (see photos). The single photos are from a bag purchased sometime in March or April, the group photo is of those same 2 treats along with a treat from a new bag I just received.
I purchased multiple bags that were no good over the past several months. After receiving another problem bag from Amazon, I called Full Moon about quality control issues. While the customer service rep I spoke with was very helpful, I was alarmed when she said they are aware of the problem with the white powder substance all over the treats, but that they do not know what it is; supposedly, they are working on it.
I went back through the 1 star Amazon reviews, which I don’t typically read for this because it is a product I have regularly bought for years. Go read them, you will see a series of them dated between December and April of this year complaining of the same problem! Far more disturbing is that there are complaints of this issue that date back to at least 2020! Once again, Full Moon told me they do not know what the white powder is when clearly this has been an ongoing problem going back at least several years. HEY FULL MOON, FIGURE IT OUT!!!! I am crying and shaking that I have fed this tainted product to my dogs. Amazon should stop selling this product immediately! Full Moon has NO RIGHT to continue selling tainted bags of this product while they don’t even know what the white substance is, or why it develops!!! I am sickened thinking about how many of these I may have thrown down for my dogs to eat. This is not a cheap dog treat, I buy them because I want to give my dogs something good, NOT to poison or harm them!!! THE ONLY PROPER THING TO DO WHEN YOU KNOW YOU HAVE A TAINTED PRODUCT IS TO PULL IT OFF THE SHELVES, NOT CONTINUE TO SELL THEM TO UNSUSPECTNG CONSUMERS!!!!! I do not care that they are reimbursing me for 2 bags, I will NOT buy this product again until Full Moon identifies and addresses the problem!!! My dog is NOT your guinea pig!!!
