I was hesitant as I have never purchased this brand before. However it was a very fun build. The item is sturdy and there are many moving features. Having the light kit with the box is fantastic. I only wish the wires were a bit more hidden.
Will look to purchase again. Good value for the money and great playability.

I honestly can’t believe how well this set is put together. The instructions with roughly 400 steps were spot on except for one detail in a step that could have been better. I ended up using the wrong piece on the gate ratcheting system, but figured it out pretty quick.
My two kids (13 and 15) were helping on and off and were really getting into the details. I would say the 16+ designation is probably spot on, but once they started scrutinizing the pieces, they were flying through the step with little supervision. I really enjoyed the family time it took to construct this quality set and the end results did not disappoint. I only wish I could give it more stars, because it is absolutely worth it at a fraction of the cost of the big brand name.

Hatte das Set als Test für die Steinequalität der GoBricks Steine gekauft und weil es mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht – das ist eine harte Konkurrenz für den Marktführer: Tolle Box, wertige, gedruckte Anleitung, Bauschritte, fantastische Teilequalität (ist mit Lego m.E. gleichwertig), Beleuchtungsset und schönes Design. Das wird sicherlich nicht das letzte Set von FunWhole bzw. mit GoBricks Steinen sein.
Lego muss sich hier warm anziehen – ein richtig richtig gutes Set zu einem fairen Kurs wenn man das Beleuchtungsset mit einbezieht.

Grand fan de brique danoise, et des sets médiévaux, je suis tombé sur ce set par hasard, et j’ai décidé de le testé.
On va commencer par les point négatifs:
-les figurines sont moins belle, malgré de bonnes idées, mais comme la licence de la forme des personnages n’est pas publique, pas le choix de faire autrement
– il y a un peu trop de “grande plaque” pour les murs de la tour, c’est un peu dommage, j’aurais préféré un peu plus de montage
– les mêmes problème que sur les briques danoises, où on voit le points d’injections
– j’aime bien les notices numériques, non présente ici
maintenant les points positifs:
– la boite est de très bonne qualité par rapport à la concurrence
– le système d’éclaire bien pensé, et assez discret, INCLUS, qui change vraiment tout
– le prix raisonnable
– pièce de bonne qualité, et avec des forme originale
– ça rend très bien au coté du chateau lion
– pas de sticker, que des pièce tampographié
En conclusion, la marque danoise devrait commencer à se remettre en question, car à part pour les licences, on trouve mieux, ou aussi bien pour moins cher
Ce set est pour moi un indispensable pour les fans de médiéval et de brique

Not only is this set reasonably priced but it has a good overall detailed design. It has very good directions that comes as a book and the lights are a great added bonus. I have been a long time builder of Legos but this set is overall as good if not better than Lego

WHAT AN AMAZING BUILD. Ok now that is out of the way let’s get to my review. Right out of the box I was impressed. All of the bags are clearly numbered, and organized with small parts bagged with small parts, and large parts bagged with large parts. Then when I looked deeper into the box, I found a large fully colored instruction booklet. AND there was a revision pamphlet that came with it. The instructions are remarkably clear and exceptionally concise. This company means business.
From the first set of bags, I immediately noticed the design is well thought out. Just when you think some of the build is getting to be unstable… BOOM the next step interlocks walls to floors or other walls. I am just so impressed with this set and company. As this progressed, building the tower section, I kept thinking it is going to be wobbly and difficult to keep adding pieces. Once again, I was completely wrong. As the tower section kept growing the structure just kept acquiring strength. Again, the deign was very well thought out. And the detail…. OMGosh. Just awesome.
The brick grip (holding building force of the bricks) is a clear 10/10 and the brick edge (just as it sounds) is 10/10.
Honestly, if I could give more stars for this review I (without hesitation) would!
I typically place all of my builds on MILS plates, but this one is an exception. It is elongated and hinged, so I had to refrain from that style build. But by no means does that mean this build will not go into my city. I have an entire section dedicated to a certain set of wizards and this will absolutely blend in with that area. And your Apothecary Shop Lighting set you have is on the way to me right now!!!

I loved building the Funwhole Watchtower! It is sturdy and full of many cute little details. I feel like they really listen to their customers because the wires were hidden much better than in earlier Funwhole sets I’ve built. It’s decently sized and fairly priced. I definitely recommend the Watchtower and look forward to buying more sets in the medieval line.

I will definitely be buying more brick sets from this FunWhole brand. The packaging, instructions, and fit and finish is the best I have seen outside of LEGO brand.
Things that really impressed me, and I am a very experienced LEGO collector with over 300 sets from that brand.
1. The packaging is very nice, high quality print, box that can serve as a building tray and be opened and closed securely with ease
2. Organization. The set has parts bagged in 8 numbered sets with 27 total bags. Smaller parts are in separate bags to make easy organization of your building process.
3. Instruction book is full color, large print, simple steps with parts inventory for each step and red highlights of new pieces added at each step. 289 pages with 405 steps.
4. Includes animals and play figures. So many of these discount brick sets do not include people to populate your scene, this one does. And the fabric pieces for cape and dress are carefully packaged.
5. High quality printing on some parts in place of stickers
6. Enjoyable building experience because of all of the above.
7. Incredible value and $90 for 1635 piece model.
8. Great part selection for building your own thing.
