Unpacked the box with the bed which had been jammed so tightly into he box, the boaters all around the bed are broken and flat. For the price of this bed the shipping of it should have been much better. I am very disappointed with the quality of the bed. I would not recommend

After unpacking and setting up, my first impression of this dog bed is “meh” to good. But not great. My dog (who’s used to various dog beds) seems okay with it but not enthusiastic. It looks much better once the two (2) pieces (the main base cushion and the edge bolster) are inserted into the cover. Btw, when you unpack the bolster, it looks terrible (ragged and no shape) – there are instructions to fluff it (by putting it in the dryer with a damp cloth) which works okay. The main base cushion comes air compressed. Once opened, it fluffs up well but does have a chemical smell – not overwhelming but for a dog, it may be strong. The pieces fit into the cover decently – nothing is squashed or misshapen. The cover is quilted which adds a necessary layer of softness and padding. I can’t speak to how effective the cooling layer is – time will tell. I also can’t speak to how well the cover washes in the laundry – time will tell on that as well. The size is as advertised and the color of the cover is nice. I would recommend this item with the slight reservation that, for the quality received, it might be a tad overpriced. Thanks!

I was confused by the differing reviews so here is my shot at clearing it up. It does come compressed so when you open the package there IS a distinct chemical smell to it. It fades. BUT if you are particular to smells—it’s a strong 5 minutes of it but we got over it. The bolsters look so sad when you first get them. Keep crushing up the pockets of foam and it gets better. I thought they would be a little more sturdy than just filled with foam

Once we got them up and fluffy. The fluffy part is very thin so if your dog likes to dig—the fluff will come right off. It also shows the color through the bottom since it’s so thin. So if your were looking for a thick shearling base —this isn’t it. But I bought it to cool down my pups so the thinness didn’t bother us. The foam we bought feels strong and good for my handicapped dachshund and the cooling foam did keep the bed pretty cool on a very hot day. WRAP UP: the price was right for a bed my dogs really love. It isn’t a luxurious high end bed but it fakes it really well and the pups love it so I say it’s a go!

As you can see this bed for my oldest Akita is a big hit ! My other 3 dogs – AND a friend tried it first.
It was expensive for shipping from US to UK but the quality and comfort is exactly what I was hoping for and I know it will last Isaac for a good few years.
We are moving to Spain in 6 weeks and he will be comfy and cool on the journey as well as when we live there.

This bed is amazing, stylish, and all my fluffy babies love it, even when they don’t always use it properly 😅. I got the large cooling memory foam for my older Pom, because he has a bad knee, and I wanted him to be more comfortable where could stretch out when he’s not up to jumping on the bed with me. He’s a picky boy, and has refused to use the donut bed I’ve gotten before this one. He loves the size, and the cooling top keeps him comfortable on warmer days. I really wanted a memory foam bed with pillowed sides, dogs like head elevation just as much as we do, which is hard to find in memory foam beds for some reason. While the sides do go a little flat, I can always stuff the insert later on. Also the ability to unzip, and wash the cover is a great function. However It also slides on wood, so put a mat, or something else underneath that will help the bed stay in place. Other than that I’m pretty satisfied with my purchase after having it for 3 months, with destructive pups no less. Other than a few loose strings from chewing, it’s holding up remarkably well. I’m planning on buying another one soon so the puppies don’t keep kicking daddy out of his bed. Just make sure your buying the right bed in your order, I’ve noticed some bad reviews from people who didn’t go into the the tab bar. There are different inserts, at different prices so make sure you click the right one for your order.

I did extensive searching to replace my old dog’s bed when he passed and I was getting a new 4-year-old Cardigan Corgi. The last bed I we had was a Serta and lasted for 14 and a half years with little wear or tear. But with a new dog, he deserved a new bed. I knew I wanted a bolster bed because of my experience with at least this breed, they enjoy the bolster beds the best. So I went on the search for a decent bolster bed that wasn’t going to cost $140, which is what a comparable bed to the Serta bed that I had purchased over 14 years ago. I found this bed and I read the reviews. I questioned some of them but I was comfortable with the 60-day return policy. When I got the Furhaven, I only had to put the cover on the base which was extremely easy (and I’m severely disabled), and my boy Beaux, loves it! I read some concerns about stitching and some about lack of support, but I didn’t find any of these problems with the Cooling Gel style bed I received. I feel the workmanship on this bed, at least so far, is excellent, the zippers are great, and the initial installation which took all of about 3 minutes, and as I said I’m severely handicapped, was super easy and the bed is supportive, comfortable and very nice looking!

I bought this pad about 6 months ago and it has become my dog’s favorite pad. I am not sure about the cooling effect, but the smooth cover material is holding up well and is easy to clean. My dog has had fleas so I have been using my vacuum cleaner every day (just like I use it on the carpet to clean the flat area and then the hose on crevices and edges). The shape is holding up well as we got it. WOULD BUY AGAIN for other rooms.
