Furhaven Orthopedic Dog Bed, Jumbo/XL Chaise

Bought this for our puppy- he still loves it. It is next to our bed and he sleeps here every night. This was super easy to assemble – we actually put the mattress piece in upside down as our dog liked it better that way! It has a great overall thickness giving it great padding. The outside edge is great – my dog likes to lay his head on that. It has lasted and it’s easily washable – just unzip the mattress pad and wash. Very plush and soft. Color hides the dog hairs as well. Great dog bed!!

I absolutely adore this bed. My frenchie has some hip issues and is getting older now so I wanted to try and invest in some kind of orthopedic bed for him. I decided on this one after reading so many mixed reviews and I’m happy I did. I’m actually getting another one for his 2 sisters really soon!

It’s so comfortable and I love the pillow edging around the bed. (I even fell asleep on it and I slept like a baby lol).. Comes with 2 seperate zippered compartments so you can take the cover off when washing it. The outside is machine washable but I don’t place it in the dryer, I just hang dry it (Dries in no time). Foam material inside is not meant to get wet but if it does, it dries fairly quickly. Spot cleaning is easy on the foam mattress inside if your dog has an accident and it gets stained.

Mattress comes folded up and vacuum packed so it does take a while for the foam to shape itself again. (it doesn’t effect the quality of the mattress but the foam does tear easily, so be careful and gentle when removing it from the package). I see many complaints about this but honestly, with a little fluffing and use it flattens out and takes shape in no time! You can move the foam around inside to adjust it/fluff it around. Eventually, it’ll fluff up and look like the photos I’ve attached below.

We’ve owned this bed for over a yr now and it wears beautifully. Holds up well (not for constant chewers, they’ll probably chew through the fabric).. that being said, it’s pretty durable (I have 3 frenchies that use it constantly). My dog bam bam and his new sisters love it so much I’m going to get another one soon. My dogs love to rest their heads on pillows so this was perfect and exactly what I was looking for.

The orthopedic foam seems to be pretty good quality and it really provides a lot of cushion and support for my 6 yr old frenchies hips and joints. He used to wake up a little stiff from the other beds and ever since I got this one, he’s been waking up feeling great and ready to play. Worth the investment in my opinion for sure!
