I bought this because I have an old girl that has the most fluffy comfy bed with a luxurious shag zippered cover that she loves to sleep on, but her much younger pain in the butt sister kept chewing it and de-fluffing it making it useless. I bought a new bed (same one), took the shag cover off and used this as the protective bed cover underneath it and zipped the shag cover back on. The younger dog has tried and tried to chew through it to get to the fluff and is not able to anymore. She is very bewildered and has given up. Perfect for chewing dogs and exactly what I needed..

I have a bulldog who loves to scratch at and dig into her bedding, constantly shredding and putting holes in them. She also periodically has accidents on her bed. I bought this cover replacement because it was crazy affordable and mentioned being water resistant. It also looked similar in material as a Kong bed that she has yet to shred, so I was hoping it would hold up to her scratching. The quality is great, it didn’t leak with an accident and held up in it washer BUT she had shredded a hole into it within a couple weeks. However you cannot beat the price. I ordered 2 more!

They don’t last long. I had my last one for three or so months before I had to replace it. It was coming undone at the seams and the fabric would thin out fast. My dogs do not bite nor scratch at their bed, so it’s quite incredible for it to look so worn in such a short amount of time.
However, the colors are great. The texture is great and the water proofing and the fact that odors don’t seem to stick is great as well. It just sucks that it doesn’t seem to last as long. Fingers crossed for this one!

I felt like this product was flimsy, ugly, and doesn’t seem like it’s going to last very long. I’m very disappointed in this. I’m sorry to have to say that. The material seems awfully thin for a large dog bed cover. It never dawned on me the material would be that thin. I keep it because the original dog bed cover that was on this indoor outdoor dog bed had a hole in it and I have not had it but six months. It was a different cover because they didn’t have the same cover, but I don’t expect this to last very long.

Years ago I purchased a Purple Pet Bed that is HUGE. The original cover was no longer waterproof, falling apart and needed to be replaced. I found this as a close match to the pet bed size, but not exact, but it works great! Dogs are happy on it and it is doing its job keeping the Purple Pet Bed dry and clean.

This worked out so great!! First for the basics: It’s a durable, strong looking cover, it has a zipper that spans a full long and one short side, so I was able to get the folded pillow material in. This one was supposed to be 4 inches thick which yeah it would take 4 inches of padding, even though the side walls are only about three but that’s fine. It even came with a carry handle on one of the sidewalls, which I imagine would be pretty handy. So it’s like a codura nylon, heavy like a backpack. Great color as well! It’s not fover based, soonj don’t think it will grad hair and become a big mat, us it is washable and brushable.
So if you want a really big suggestion I’ll tell you what I did. We were cleaning the house and getting rid of one of the kids twin mattresses because they’re all in college now, I can throw away the mattress but they wanted to charge me $50 to throw away the box spring. So what I did was cut the cover off the box spring mattress, and threw away the cover, but the padding was so nice I saved it, the springs I could now drop at the dump with the scrap metal. The padding was so nice I decided to make a pillow out of it. Fold it four times and it comes out about the size of this cover, 30 inches by 40 inches. So I saved the $50, and I made a better pillow than I would have been able to buy for about another 50 or $70!!!
So I spent $18 on this cover and I figure I saved myself at least another $60-80!!!

These bed covers are heavy duty canvas, if they are the water resistant style, and are excellent! I have no doubt at all that these will hold up for years. Very attractive, solid colors, no silly “paw print” or “dog bone” fabrics. Like who wants to look at those? Maybe if the bed is in a child’s bedroom, but the rest of the house? Nuts to that!
Buy these covers, you won’t regret it.

I need to remove two stars from this product. Although a very nice bed cover it is not indestructible I would not recommend it for dogs who are hard on beds (and covers) I have a Husky who I affectionately call Mylo the Destroyer. I bought him a new Furhaven bed and this cover for Christmas and he is already putting holes in the cover. Now, he had a kong cover which took him a year to do what he has done to this in two weeks.
