OK Range, OK accuracy, amazing mag space. But after a few months it just stopped working. And it was out of it’s return window too. Battery was fine, must’ve come apart on the inside or something as it was entirely unresponsive. Maybe I’m just unlucky.

The gun came actually earlier than promised. I took it out of the box, charged the battery and fired it. And loved it. The rate of fire was great and the gun had a high fps (feet per second). I’m giving this gun five stars even though about a year in, the magazine broke. I just bought another one for like $10 and the gun worked completely fine after that. I’ve had this gun for about three years now and still love it.

I use for all sorts of pest control around the house. Works from deer to coons without any harm just a surprise. Of course most of them recognize the sound of the BB’s rattling in the drum, which holds tons of fun, and run off before even pulling the trigger, the other ton of fun!!! Battery has a long life, charge probably every 6-8 drum full. And speaking of the drum be sure to buy the 10k supply of BB’s cause it throws a LOT very quickly. And surprisingly it pretty accurate and if you miss just keep the trigger pulled and have fun

The GFSMG has a plastic gearbox and is VERY light so presumably not as durable as other guns that are over $100 with metal gearboxes. It is recommended that you only use 8.4v batteries in the manual and I would agree that 9.6v is probably too much wear and tear on the plastic gearbox for the ROF increase. It comes with an 800mah battery but the stock can fit at least 8.4v 1600mah butterfly batteries for longer battery life.
The hicap drum magazine works well and functions similarly to all hicaps with winding required to feed the bbs. Unlike other hicaps the drum is also light plastic so I don’t recommend winding it all the way up at one time but instead winding it occasionally as you shoot to preserve the mechanism.
Out of the box it functions great as far as rof and fps (275-290 with .20bbs) and works well especially for newer players and backyard skirmishes (40yards max.) While normally you would want higher fps for more range in serious games; this smg fills a special niche at my field. We need guns under 1j with a pistol caliber magazine to be able to use full-auto with no Min Engagement Distance and have good suppressing fire. Enter the gfsmg to fill that niche under $100 and make everyone duck and cover wile you sweep the streets.
Overall I am pleased and it will definitely get some use in real games. It is an ok starter gun but it isn’t overly durable. It is fun to shoot and it looks cool so if you want a Thompson for airsoft this is entry level. However, it won’t stand up one on one to 400fps aeg’s in normal play. You will have to change your tactics and you will be filling a specific role but you will be doing it in style with a drum fed Thompson.

Works good packs enough of a punch plenty of on board ammo light, I mean really light. Put a 11.1 lypo in for 1 drum worth worked amazingly and didn’t tear up still wouldn’t really suggest it but was really cool 😎

My son loves this gun. It is fast and actually way more acurate than i would have expected. We have had it for a while now and it still is like new. The weekend he got it he ran 10,000 rounds through it and stills works great. If you want this toy you better have a ton of ammo and better buy a color of ammo that you don’t mind seeing thousands of all over your property. Lol
