Update: Worked great, fit great, looks great, but its a thin wood glued together and it cracked and split open in less than 3 weeks.
The company did contact me about the issue, in which I responded. There has been no contact since then. Waste of money do not purchase.

Well, I have to give GASHELL credit: they contacted me in response to my original review and offered to replace the cover. The replacement arrived quickly, was undamaged and – most importantly – actually sat flat (ie, wasn’t warped). This one is a much, much better than the original.
My original remarks on the item still stand: it’s attractive and the fit (for a standard-sized stove top) is near-perfect. I’ve wiped it down with tung oil to preserve the wood, and it serves as a light duty work surface when I don’t need the stove. The top is a little thin to serve as a cutting board, however, but it’s a great place to put mixing bowls and other food prep items, without worrying about propping them on top of stove grates.
From 1- to 4-stars for great customer service! It would be a 5-star review if the original experience hadn’t driven the requirement for a replacement. I’d say buy with confidence – even if you get one that shouldn’t have made it through QC, GASHELL will make it right for you.

Product arrived warped, with surface cracks and a chunk taken out of one side that, given the packaging was fully intact, likely happened during production or shipping prep.
The top surface wood attractive, but too thin to use as a cutting board (and would need to be treated with tung oil beforehand, regardless), so it can really only serve as a light duty work area when in place.
Unless, of course, it’s so warped that it won’t sit flat on your stovetop and would wobble when you touched it.

It is a perfect fit. Seems solid and well built. Disappointed in the color. Even the picture I took makes it look lighter than it actually is. Different looks in different lighting
