Plenty of organized storage, easy to clean finish

Purchased this locally 18 months ago and thanks to the extended warranty the ice machine has been replaced 3 times, the control panel replaced, the freezer fan replaced and it still sounds like a 747 landing in my kitchen. Makes odd grinding noises and hums so loudly it vibrates the floor. All this is deemed “acceptable” according to GE because it doesnt pop any error codes.
Stay away, these fridges were made during COVID and are a mess.
My sister just purchased a brand new Maytag and it is not anywhere near the loudness of this one, so GE is lying when they say this is normal.

Unfortunately GE was bought out by Qingdao, a Chinese company. As with most things made in China the quality is garbage and most people are experiencing fridge failures with no way to recoup their money.

Got this for my sister and her family. She loves it! Came early. Was a pain to get inside. Doors had to be taken off so it could fit through the door way. Took at least two people to move it anywhere. Items stay cold. Looks nice. Works just fine.

First let’s talk about the distributor. The refrigerator was supposed to be delivered no later than May 9th. On May 10th Amazon updated the delivery to May 16.
I purchased this brand (GE) because their products are supposedly made in America. Imagine my surprise when the box clearly stated “Made in Mexico”. No more GE for me.
The refrigerator is not as quiet as the Samsung that we replaced. The freezer door has to be pulled open from the middle of the handle. If you grab it on the side it won’t operate properly because the framing is not rigid enough. Other than that it works fine.

However, it’s overpriced for what you get.
My biggest gripe is the water dispenser.
A.) it’s in the refrigerator, not the door. That means you have to open the door every time you want some
cold water.
B.) I expected COLD water….doesn’t happen. The water is only cold from the dispenser if it hasn’t been
used for a couple to few hours or the first glass in the morning. We drink a lot of water in this home.
Very disappointed with the warm water. Thinking of returning the unit.
