Je suis assurée de l’efficacité de ce produit. Enduit plastique sur les coutures vraiment adhésif.

I purchased 2 bottles of GEAR AID tent waterproofing which should cover 150 square feet of fabric according to the manufacture instructions.
My tent fly is roughly 13 feet by 10 feet (130 square feet) so I assumed I purchased enough.
The first 2 bottles DID NOT cover even 60 square feet. I contacted GEAR AID and spoke with a company representative on the usage and followed the video instruction.
I purchased 2 additional bottles of GEAR AID and assume that would complete the job, which it did not.
Between the “4 bottle of Seam Sealer”, “4 bottles of Tent Fabric Sealer” and “4 cans of exterior sealer it is going to cost me $150 to repair a $150 tent.
TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. BETTER OFF BUY A NEW TENT.
Update
I contacted the company, and they provided additional water proofing at no cost. I applied it as directed, and tested the tent. Water still penetrated the rain fly. I sent the rain fly as requested to the company, and they tested it. Water still penetrated. Conclusion from them is that is all the protection we were going to get from their product.

I used it to waterproof a pop up canopy that has begun to get a few leaks. I haven’t felt a drop since I used this stuff.
Amazon Customer –
The product is good but you will need more cans than you think to cover a tent.
adam –
There was not enough to treat my small 2 person tent properly.
Kindle Customer –
Buen producto solo que depende del tamaño del objeto a proteger debes comprar la cantidad de envases. Debes darle varias capas para asegurarte de su efectividad.

I’m in the process of re-applying waterproofing to the rainfly of an old (20+ years) tent. I had called the manufacturer and though they recommended Gear Aid’s Tent Sealant, I decided to try this because I wanted to just spray on instead of going over the whole fly with a small sponge applicator. Well, I can say this went on very nicely– evenly and dried quickly, but not the seal I want for a rainfly. I am now re-doing this with the product originally recommended. Live and learn.
I would recommend this for jackets and soft shells, however I’m not sure how to recycle the can, and there’s no information on item explaining how to safely dispose of this.
Sarah Frank –
Very easy to use. Every few years we spray the tent and this already is great. I’m short so have to use a ladder, maybe if they included a tall person with purchase? Just an idea
Truly though it was very easy to use and seems to work well
JayP Fullam –
Works as advertised. Used it on a 15 year old north face tent after a good wash.
