Put a set of these on my Mustang bass to replace a new set of expensive Pyramid Gold flatwounds that were just a dead thud rather than a sustained note the Mustang is capable of. These GHS strings sound great! Got that P bass sound back and are very bright for flatwounds. Love them, so far so good! Make sure you get the right length for the Mustang with string through body, some 30″ short scale strings are too short. These 32″ medium scale strings fit great.

El juego de cuerdas viene abierto y la cuerda 4 “Sol” G no tiene tensión trastea en todos los trastes, bien no corresponden al calibre o grosor que indica la etiqueta o se fabricó defectuosamente.
Las demás están bien.
Evidentemente si viene abierto el embalaje de las cuerdas pueden haberlo manipulado, claramente la cuerda 045 “G” no parece una 045 de hecho ni si quiera lo indica en el sobre pueden ver las fotos, cuando normalmente las cuerdas Ghs en su sobre lleva impreso el grosor de cada cuerda su información y la marca, aquà solo pone 1,2,3,4 en cada sobre como podéis ver en la fotografÃa.
Me parece una vergüenza.
Encima que venga desprecintado, el problema es que hasta que no pones las cuerdas y ves que “G” no sirve no te das cuenta de que no sirve porque la apariencia de la cuerda es buena.
Acabo de perder 44€.

One of the star ratings Amazon asks for is brightness. I chose 4 stars. I mean, who uses flat wound strings for brightness? OK, strings work well and sound great. Of course, will it work for what you want? That’s hard for me to say. But I do love the acoustic/double bass-style sound and I LOVE the low string noise as I move my fingers around the fretboard.

This is a great price for medium scale flats, they have a fine wrap with a satin finish that feels very smooth to play.
Fitted perfectly on a modern medium scale Warwick corvette bass with 2 a side tuners with 10mm between the back of the nut and the start of the taper/silk wrap. The ‘speaking’ length of bass strings varies a lot so make sure you check your bass dimensions before purchasing.
Nice tension, easy to play and nice balanced tone.

With the style of music l play I use flatwounds on all my bass’s. I put these on my semi hollow body short scale bass and absolutely love them. Although I use medium to heavy gauges on my solid body bass’s, the light gauge on this particular bass has a unique feel, sound, and tone combined with the semi hollow body. LOVE THEM!!!! Smooth and buttery

These are the best bass strings I have experienced in 40 years of bass playing ! I have 6 bass guitars,and so far,have these on 4. I have 3 German Hofner basses.A 63, 64,and a 69 . I have tried Pyramid ( a very good string),DAddairio,(another good string) All of the LaBella,and most were satisfactory,and , and TI ,among others.
These strings are warm & smooth first day on the bass,and after a month ,they are fantastic. These strings have the warmest,and best intonation I have experienced.A very balanced set,especially for the Hofners at half the price of most other high end brands.Also have a similar set (long scale) on my Fender P bass,and they sound great on it.
Next ,I will put them on my Rickenbacker,and Ibanez basses.
If you are looking for bright.slapping type strings,these are the wrong strings for you. If you are looking for a warm,rich, deep,motown,and or 60’s sound,these ARE the strings for you ! !
