This stuff is potent and I don’t recommend spraying your bird with it. That’s what I bought it for because nobody had the mite protectors that attach to the cage. I sparingly spray her cage cover with it when I clean her actual cage.

I have a bird that lives in his cage. Could not find this product anywhere except Amazon. Good to keep on hand even though we keep his cage clean those little mites can get on them no matter what.

I bought this product because I had a nest of wild house finches on my front door wreath and the poor little guys got bird mites mere days before they fledged. The mites multiplied almost impossibly fast and home remedies and products the local wildlife center told me to use were just not killing them fast or effectively enough. I was absolutely terrified for the little birds and was beside myself worrying about the mites potentially infesting my apartment, so I was at my wit’s end knowing this was going on literally on my doorstep. So I did some research, and overnight ordered this spray based on the positive reviews, and it worked wonders! I sprayed it as directed while wearing protective gloves, as the sprayer top did leak a little. It killed almost all of the mites on my wreath, door, the nest, birds, etc. on contact and continued to kill them as they crawled into areas sprayed before it dried. I’ve used it in my doorway and inside my front door gaps as well to kill any residual mites I missed after throwing out the abandoned nest and the wreath in a sealed bag, and this has had very positive results. For the fledglings, I did not spray directly on them due to their delicate respiratory systems and instead sprayed some on paper towels and gently applied it to them, avoiding their eyes and beak. I definitely wouldn’t recommend applying it to a bird without feathers, as it did seem to have a strong odor to it and I’m sure isn’t gentle on exposed skin. I am so thankful this product helped the babies fledge healthily and on time, and kept my home and myself safe from those awful mites!

I have never had to use a mite spray on my birds before. I was surprised, however, to find out from the vet that they had mites! I tried cleaning out their cages, but that didn’t work. I went to the pet stores in our area. None of them carried anything that would not be potential harmful, especially for my parakeets. The vet told me to get a good mite spray. After using the Miracle Care mite spray, I was pleasantly surprised. After one round of the mite spray, all of my Parakeets and cockatiels were free and clear. There were no signs of any mites anywhere. I really like the Miracle Care mite spray, and will continue using it as necessary. It does not have any harmful chemicals that will make my birds sick. It’s easy to use, and works quickly to kill all the mites in their cages and on them. Before I used it, I bathed all of the birds in warm water mist. I could tell they had mites because there was small black bugs crawling all over them. When they were Wet, the bbugs were crawling into their noses. After their bath, I dried them off good and immediately sprayed them with the Nature Miracle mite spray. You could see the black bugs falling all off of them. Instead of putting newspaper in the bottom of their cages, I put white paper towels down to make sure that the mites were all gone. After just one application, we had no more mites. After a week, I replaced the white paper towels with newspaper. I am happy to report that my Parakeets and cockatiels are mite free. I highly recommend this for any bird enthusiast. I would always keep a bottle of this on hand in case they have another infestation.

Ok, this product does work…. but I question how my birds feel when I spray them.
My Birds are important to me, and I try to do the best for there health, and care.
While spraying this product onto my birds, I covered there faces so it wouldn’t get in eyes or be breathed in.
But while I sprayed them, some of the spray got on my arm and it burned.
There was a bunch of little red dot’s on my arm where the spray had landed on me, and it still had a slight sting, even after washing it off and the dot’s lasted a few hours.
Now if this spray could do that to me, then imagine what your little friend may be feeling.
I cant see how this product could be non toxic and fully safe, if I get results like that.
I’m giving 4 star’s, because this product does work… but I’m taking one star, because this darn stuff stings.
If you want a product that works, them I would recommend this…….
But if you love your little feather buddy, I would give some thought on what your really spraying on your bird.
