Knitter –
This GoFit GoRoller thing is great. The booklet has info and how-to with illustrations.
My husband says it indeed helped his aching feet immediately, that is why we bought it initially, and he uses it as soon as possible after work (no chance at work).
We’ve used it for 4 days, as I write this, but results and build-quality are already evident. Extremely well-made and tough. Not painfully knobby, not “sharp”.
I have a hard-foam roller, the typical, plain type, for “big” muscles groups, but this roller is, for me, better than that big roller for a trigger point on the top portion of thigh muscle & IT Band — plus you can carry it for use during breaks or at your desk w/o looking goofy.
It’s all around great for those smaller muscles, like bicep, tricep…and for feet, of course.
We strongly recommend the book by Clair Davies ‘The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook’ which has saved me from an improperly diagnosed/treated, debilitating trigger point that has plagued me from my days as much more of an athlete than i am now.
We are very average, 5’6 and 6’2 and slim/fit; if you are of larger stature, I think this roller would handle all.
I can see a core ring of steel with a hex nut within that ring, at both ends.
The plastic parts are quite tough and well-designed.
We keep it out of reach of pets, without fail !!
Also, I would say that if you’re of not-large build and height, try this first for the smaller muscle-groups, and then you’ll have a very good roller for your feet, too. We do use the big hard-foam roller, also, and bought this $13.25 one a few months ago (for trigger point work) EPE Black High Density Foam Roller: 6″” x 18″”, Round, 1.9 lbs per cubic foot

This is great for my plantar fasciitis. A couple of minutes of rolling my feet reduces 80% of the stinging pain. Rolling another 10 minutes reduces probably another 10%. I guess it needs other treatment. This is much better (efficient) then a tennis ball or a lacrosse massage ball.
2nd edit: The product is still good and my previous comment is still valid. But I do not use this very often now. Why? I use orthopedic insole, more specifically this product (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005AFHMDS), in my training shoes. I train and play competitive badminton for at least 8 hours a wee. Prior to using the insole, I would get the stinging pain at night or the next morning after the play. That was when this product helped to reduce the pain. But why let the pain happen and then try to reduce it. A coach advised me to try products like the the above to give more arch support. And it works. Different arch supports work to different degrees. For me, it reduces 99% of the pain. Before you find the right orthopedic insole, use the current product to reduce pain. Good luck!

For the past two years, I have been dealing with plantar fasciitis. I am on my feet on cement floors with steel toe work boots for 10 hours a day. It doesn’t matter how much stretching I do, I am constantly dealing with pain in my feet (right foot especially). Inserts haven’t helped either. I decided to give this a try along with a muscle roller stick. I tried it out as soon as I got it and I have to say that my feet instantly felt so much better. I’m not a 100% better yet, but it took me from not wanting to walk at all to feeling able to walk without a major amount of discomfort or pain. I will still be using this on a daily (2-3 or more times) basis but now I have hope that I can get my feet back to normal. Still going to do the stretching and everything else but I feel that this will make such a huge difference. Well worth the money and very well built.

This has been every single thing that I needed for my plantar fasciitis. I have tried baseballs and a frozen water bottle, but this? Works wonders. I used it every single day, even though it hurt like nobody’s business and within a matter of weeks? No more pain. It could have been a combination of this and a good orthotic insert for my shoes, but I think this had a huge part in it. This is worth every single penny in my opinion to help with foot pain like plantar fasciitis. I also use it to roll my wrist from time-to-time as I work at a computer all day and sometimes deal with carpel tunnel. This is a great product.

I’ve recently decided that I need to get off my rear and start being more active. Football, yoga, jogging, and whatever excuse I can use to get my body moving. Unfortunately, my decision to start doing this has led to soreness. Everywhere. Especially in my feet, though.
I have the flattest of feet. No arches. Think of hobbits and bigfoot. Where my arch would be just ends up hurting from the constant running, pounding and use.
I ordered this. I started using it on my sore feet, and I can say without question that my foot pain is nearly gone. I use this every night for a few minutes on each foot while watching TV, and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of the night.
I work a desk job during the day and feel like I have the beginnings of carpal tunnel. Using this on my wrist has been an experience worth remembering. I had no idea how tight the muscles in my forearm were from all the computer time. It’s great for that, too!

I do road bike and indoor stationary spin bike. After each session I have pain in my feet arches.
This GoFit foot roller is AWESOME !!!
Pros :
– Very good overall quality of construction
– Soft-grip massage bumps with firm core
– High quality urethane wheels (like inline skates)
– Very comfortable to use
– The massage bumps are perfect : not too small, not too big, not too soft, not too hard. It massage my feet without being harmful.
– Important : Does not mark my floor
Cons :
– More expensive then the competition
Before I had the traditional foot roller made of wood. You know the one that you can roll both feet at the same time. Well in theory yes, in practice no! Both rollers are way too close to each other and it was always slipping on my floor.
Then I bought the Gaiam Restore Hot and Cold Foot Roller I hated the GAIAM foot roller : big, heavy, was grooving lines on my floor. I retuned it to Amazon and order instead the GoFit. Yes the GoFit is more expensive but truly the best roller I have tried so far.
Note : My father tried my GoFit for his hands (he hand carpal tunnel syndrome) and he liked it.
So YES I recommend you without any hesitation the GoFit foot/hand roller !

Love this! Will feel so good after a long day at work. The only reason I am not giving the full five stars is because I wish the little massaging thingys went a little deeper. Great buy, though!
