Got these 2 as a test. Our current phones are terrible about picking up EMI noise.
These Grandstreams are so quiet, it’s like the person on the call is right next to you. We will be buying more of these.
    No tech support was needed.

This is a pretty good phone. Display is nice and having extra buttons is great. In fact, this is the primary reason of my purchase. I have also been using the GXP2140. I only have one gripe. I am either doing something wrong, there is a bug, or this is just the way it’s intended to work. When I program the keys they work great, however when I’m on a call the display changes and no longer displays the name of each button I’ve programmed. My GXP2140 does this also. The difference is in this phone all the keys act like a line key while i’m on a call. For instance when I want to park a call, I hit the key I’ve programmed as park and it puts the call on hold and opens up a new line. It does not park the call. The workaround is if I want to park or transfer a call I must (while on the call) go to the home screen where the button labels are present and hit the buttons I’ve programmed. This works perfectly. On my GXP2140 the programable buttons function the same regardless if you’re on a call or not. I’m also having issues getting the BLF to actually light up. They’ll show green/red on the LCD screen, but the lights won’t actually light up. Only line keys light up. This problem doesn’t exist on a GXP2140 configured the same. This is why I hope a future update will solve the issue.

    *** 8/10/2016 Update
After the latest software update all problems described in my review have been corrected. This is an excellent product. 5 stars…

UPDATE: It took two days to figure this out. This phone is NOT compatible with Ooma. Ooma support confirmed that the only phones that will work with their service is Yealink, and then they have to be authorized or “provisioned” by Ooma. This Grandstream phone does seem to be built well and the interface eventually worked on a desktop. But there’s nothing at the Amazon page about it not being compatible with some service providers. One of the answers to the customer questions indicates it is compatible with Ooma, but the seller has not corrected or clarified this. It has been returned.

good solid voip phone / nice feature set / good price:features balance. Works well with either generic cloud voip service provider or with a more classic voip hosted server (3cx in this case). Good quality sound, nice solid build, easy to setup and deploy, all good.

I use this phone for a number of SIP accounts with different providers including an Asterisk phone system and direct SIP accounts and it works brilliantly. The biggest bonus for me is being able to pair it with a pair of bluetooth headphones so I can be completely hands free when making and receiving calls

For the price is a very good phone. For reliability is standard. Bluetooth corrected headset units needs to be reboot every 2 days or it cause funny speaker problems. Doesn’t support opus even tthough it has it in its menu. When enable it will drop the in call on pickup. Very strick phone book upload download rule. Can’t even down from 1 phone to upload to the next grandstream brand. 1st one has a screen defects after 1 week of use. Overall it works for now.

Ordered a few of these for my office, and have been very happy with them so far.

I’m running them using the INCLUDED adapter.
Works well with my Plantronics Voyager legend.

Currently using them with FreePBX running asterisk 14.

THE ONLY issue that * I * have run into yet, is that the the two most recent FW versions have an issue where the WebGUI has new features that are blank. As in there is a menu option for the new feature, but when you select it, you get an error or blank page. Have tried resetting and reflashing, downgrading then upgrading, no luck.

But OVERALL, i have had no issues with the phones performance or screen-Gui features.

I have tested every IP phone I can get my hands on from a myriad of manufacturers. Cisco has great engineering, good voice quality, low latency, but they have no BLF keys (or very few to speak of). Fanvil has great BLF keys which allow for pages of keys which works perfect, but the phone has quality issues and cuts out. Yealink has some decent phones, but their flagships like the T48g have major latency on their audio. Note, this is not network related latency; every phone takes time to process the packets, and some do it MUCH faster than others (my testing has yielded about a 200ms gap in the speed of processing the voice packets from different phones and manufacturers).

This Grandstream feels like a quality product, the screen is bright and brilliant, the pages of BLF keys is a perfect fit. Sometimes the screen doesn’t move quite as fast as my hands do when I’m moving very fast, but it doesn’t matter because the phone processes all key strokes faster than it displays on screen, meaning I am not limited in how fast I can move despite a 100ms delay on screen sometimes. This phone adds about 60-80ms in additional latency over my “fastest” phones I am saying are zero. I would like to NOT have that added latency which can add up when you top it with 250ms of latency from your SIP provider/internet, but the voice quality is outstanding and I know that is the likely cause of the delay. Much more and it would be outside what I’d accept; much less and I’d have a hard time measuring it (I can measure down to about 30ms).

Great phone, about to buy a bunch more for our managers.

Destiné à notre entreprise, nous avons passé une journée à essayer de l’installer sans succès. Amazon , notre opérateur internet, la notice. Personne n’a réussi à nous venir en aide.

I just installed my first GXP2170 and am happy with it so far. I am using it on a 3CX PBX and it was easy to get working. It has a nice screen and the audio is great on both the handset and the speakerphone. I have not tested the Bluetooth capability yet, but that is a nice feature to have. It comes with a power adapter, but I am not using that as it supports POE and that works fine. It also has a desk stand and a wall mount. I was a bit disappointed in the shipping as Amazon shipped it without boxing it up in another box – the labels were stuck directly on the manufacturer’s box and it was not sealed with tape so I am lucky I got everything intact and undamaged.
