I bought this for my husband because he cuts up dead trees for firewood. He said it’s great quality. It muffles sound, doesn’t steam up and it protects him.

the band actually holds the helmet on your head even if you bend over. I have a helmet that I will dispose of that fails this test. The ear protection is very good — you have to press down a bit to snap it into place where it is snug on your ears. the webbing at the top feels ok on a bald head. The face shield is very clear. I ended up using velcro to secure the face shield the two clips are not good enough — if you bump the shield it can get knocked off.

I volunteer with the Florida Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Teams where we do a lot of heavy tree work such as removing huge trees off of roofs and a lot of bucking, so a good helmet is a must. Overall the helmet fits well and has kept my head from injury from widow makers and debris. My issue is that whenever I take the muffs off, they pop out of the holder. The clips are not sturdy enough to keep them in place. It is time consuming and a hassle have to unbuckle and correct this while I’m on a steep roof. The chin strap is also pretty small and uncomfortable.
Overall it’s a safe helmet. The face shield works well and is easily adjusted. I would purchase one again if they corrected the issues noted.
I contacted the manufacturer noting my issues via their website. Without prompting, they sent me a brand new helmet within a week. You can’t beat that kind of service!

Very happy with this Green Devil helmet. My Stihl helmet with face shield broke and decided to give it a try. Very comfortable even after an 8 hour day cutting weeds and trees. It has adjustable vents on top, the ear muffs are fully adjustable as well. I have worn all sorts of helmets and shields this is my go to because of price and comfort. Parts are easier to find for this vs others.
I highly recommend it.

i work for a chemical plant, our managers and ehs decided that we needed to start wearing a hard hat with a face shield but the ones they provided are awful, this hard hat fits good, it is lighter and the face shield is not right against my face and nose so i’m not breathing in my own hot air nearly as bad, i took the ear muffs off, i prefer ear plugs, to remove the earmuffs you take a philips head screwdriver and unscrew where the earmuff mount is, really simple, but the earmuff mounts have to still be attached to the hard hat, this is how the visor is connected, i don’t use the chin strap so i took it out, i also went ahead and ordered a replacement visor, i am satisfied with the purchase.

I mostly like the helmet. The face shield is safe and easy to see through. The ear muffs work well. The hat has multiple fit options and adjustments. I especially like the screw knob mechanism on the head adjustment to quickly tighten/loosen the fit of the helmet. The slight ding (not worth a star) is that the friction fit to hold the face shield up if you lift it may need multiple tightening. Additionally, getting the ear protection muffs on is a little effort, but just take your time. The main thing negative with safety equipment is that if it is too much of a problem to use, then people don’t use the equipment which kind of defeats the purpose of the safety equipment. This helmet passes this test. I use it and don’t feel like I’m fighting the equipment to use it. I would recommend and buy again.

Decided to up upgrade from a basic stihl helmet. It is A very nice helmet. Very comfortable to wear. The ear muffs are nice, but they are not as beefy as the stihl ones and the way they felt was cheap. One nice thing was you can use the stihl muffs with this helmet. The one minus is the chin strap sucks and i can’t get it to fit at all, so I removed it. With the back adjustable strap, works great and keeps the helmet firm on the head.

Yes!!! There are more expensive helmets out there and yes there are cheaper helmets out there. But this helmet is strong, it and everything on it functions perfectly, it’s got mad style, it looks Bad Ass on your head, it has triple protection and the price, is absolutely amazing.
Long story, longer.
This helmet fits and feels great on your head, it looks super cool, it has amazing features and Most importantly it works great and it is tough as nails.
It fits your head snuggly even without wearing the chinstrap, with the chinstrap on your chin, it fits really secretly and with the ear protection on, you will feel as though not even a tornado could rip this helmet off your head.
You really don’t even need to wear the chin strap if you are using the ear protection.
And yes the ear protection works great.
I bought this helmet for arboring and I really like it for that but I will admit it, I wore this helmet during a large wood burn, yes I did feel like the biggest Puss wearing a helmet during a wood burn, but “I’ll tell you what”!!!! I will never do another wood burn without wearing a helmet with a face shield, the screen face shield on this helmet kept my face 30° cooler when I was standing close to the hot Fire
I’m not much of a chinstrap wearing kind of guy, but wearing the chinstrap with this helmet does definitely make it way more secure on your head and it just feels and fits better when wearing the chinstrap. Specially if you wear glasses, the chinstrap will keep the forehead section of the helmet riding a little higher on your forehead, to keep the helmet from hitting your glasses and being uncomfortable.
One negative, is that the adjustable air vents / heat vents on the side of the helmet are a little tricky to get to when the ear protection is attached, but it’s no big deal, you can still work it.
