I bought this pan for its handy size and safe non-stick coating. The quality is excellent: even heat, good weight; nice touch; really non-stick so super easy to clean (except that it gets stained by tomato sauce quite easily). Very happy with the performance so far.

Great product – it’s my favourite pan, is completely non-stick and healthy…it took me a long time to find this, thank you!!!

They say that people really do read reviews. I agree as I am one of those people. I also write reviews, not for every product, but definitely for those products that warrant a review. Green Pans Valencia series is one such product. I purchased these pans and pots to replace two other sets of non-stick we have. One is an original Emeril Lagasse set from 2004. Shows how good those pans were. The other a Gotham Steel Copper set from 2018, not so good. I felt it was time for a unified looking set and I had just watched America’s Test Kitchen review cookware. They’re top pick for non-stick was the Green Pan Valencia series. Consumer Reports rated them very highly as well. I had a simple set of Green Pans shortly after they came out on the market in 2013 in the second home we had. Our youngest son has them now, so I was already familiar with the brand. It was the Gotham Stell ones that replaced those pans. But as I noted, they weren’t as good as the Green Pans or The Emeril set. So, when Amazon had a sale on the Green Pans, I pulled the trigger.
We’ve had the pans now for a couple of weeks and followed the pre-use instructions. First, they got a light wash. Then, on their first use they were heated on a medium heat for a minute or two before any oil was added. By adding oil, I mean a tablespoon or less. To date they have been wipe out clean after frying. Just like on TV. They are very substantive in the hands, but not heavy. They heat evenly and there is no noted running of liquids or oils to one side or the other showing the pans are flat. They are rated for all types of cooking surfaces, but we have electric and have noted the setting of the stove is a little lower on all burners, indicative of a good thorough heating material. I hope to get a couple of decades out of this set. But I do note, my wife kept a couple of the small 8 inch Emeril pans for eggs.

I have followed directions on use to the letter. But after a month or so, the non-stick properties of this Green Pan seem to have slid off the pan and washed down the drain. So if youโre using it primarily for scrambled eggs, donโt expect โem to effortlessly slide onto the plate. I still like it, like the feel of the handle and the glass lid that came with it. Still good for moving food from the stovetop to the oven. So Iโve adapted, using just a light coating of grapeseed oil to get some semblance of non-stick when needed.

Super non stick and yet still browns sausage patties. Makes eggs perfectly and easy to get a flipper under for those over easy types. Easy to clean. Very nice pan – except – those free egg rings are a joke. They do not work. The eggs leak all over the pan under the seal and create a mess. The wire holders are loose and fall into the pan making the rings impossible to work with. You are better off doing the egg shaping in the pan free style. Still giving the pan 5 stars!

I’ve been looking for non-stick pans to replace the older ones that use PFAS and other toxic chemicals and stumbled across this one. It’s still early days, I’ve only had it a few weeks but so far this pan is outstanding! It is very well made, solid, heavy duty, almost commercial quality, really. One of the nicest frying pans I’ve ever used. The non-stick surface has been amazing. Eggs, melted cheese, everything just slides right out without sticking. Just follow the instructions. Hand wash only. Don’t use pan spray! There is apparently something in most pan sprays that can cause the surface of the pan to deteriorate. Put a bit of oil or butter in the pan before putting the food in. Cleaning it is ridiculously easy because nothing sticks to it in the first place. A quick wipe in soapy water using regular dish soap and it’s clean.

I’m reviewing the GreenPan Valencia Pro Hard Anodized 10″ Frying Pan
Pros
Requires much less oil or butter for cooking
Best egg pan I’ve ever used.
Pepper and onions cook nice and less greasy.
Cooks well with medium or low heat.
Lightweight. Well constructed.
Handle stays cool.
Cons
I would prefer a white cooking surface rather than the gray color.
Details
I own cast iron pans and other ceramic pans. But this one has the slickest surface and easiest cleaning. I’ve been using this pan since Christmas 2022. About 5 times per week. I use it on a conventional stove top (not induction). I love it. Based on failures with past frying pans I treat this pan with respect. I use only plastic spatulas. Heat setting no higher than 325 to 350 using a laser thermometer. For cleaning the pan I use nothing but a warm wash cloth and dawn dish liquid when the pan is warm but not hot. No nylon bristle brushes. Sometimes I just wipe out the pan because it cleans up so easily. I cook thin omlettes in butter on low heat and cover them flipping them one time. They turn out great. They slide out of the pan.
I cook burgers at about 350 in a little bacon grease. Vegetables around 325 to 350 with just a little olive oil and only cook a few at a time so they come out slightly singed.
I use cast iron only for cooking thick bacon because it comes out nice and crispy. But I have to season the surface after each use so I don’t bother using cast iron for anything else. This GreenPan is my fave for everything but bacon.
I am optimistic the cooking surface on this pan will last a long time without flaking or chipping like my old teflon pans that I threw out.
