Jane Doe –
my kitty just does not like wet food. I have offered him like 25 different brands, ranging from the cheap c–p that’s all byproducts to the fancy stuff from special stores and grain-free recipes.
This is the only one he will part of. And think God he does because now… Thinking of the Bristol poop scale… His poop moved from hard nuggets to soft enough mini bananas. So I know that it’s better for him because instead of just eating only dehydrated foods he’s now getting food – liquids. (in addition to the many bowls of always available water all over the house).
He doesn’t like the other type that looks cloudy like split pea soup only brown… He likes this stuff that looks like chicken soup meaning a see-through broth with distinctive shreds of something solid.
There are four flavors and I rotate them. I give him two packets of the same flavor every day, whose flavor which repeats every four days.
this should be really good for his kidneys as he ages. If you feed your cat nothing but dry food expect to need to give your cat subcutaneous fluids with a needle and an IV bag the last few years of their life. It’s much better to get them into wet food. I mean you wouldn’t want to live your life on nothing but trail mix and super dry meat… That’s a recipe for total constipation which is not good for one’s health.

I’ll put some dry food down and then get two packs of the gravy and put it over it and my three cats like demolish it they love me more than anything. They’ll eat dry food but they at night always get the special meal & they sleep so good ❤️❤️❤️

My old cat get a pack of this every day. He literally knows he will get this around 5 pm and will hold out until he is served. He is 18 years old and just loves this gravy!
Millie Tyler –
My cats love this treat but I need a nutritious food especially for my older cat Kenzy. He has inflamed bowel which means he doesn’t get all the nutrition out of his food. I purchased this gravy not realizing it is a treat and not meant as a nutritious meal. My cats lick the gravy off their cat food but leave the chunks of meat so I thought maybe I could add a little more this gravy and it would prevent so much expensive canned food from being wasted. I wish the gravy had nutrients in it because they love it.

My cat at my equestrian center was adopted just over year ago. She is beyond picky with her food and treats. I’ve tried giving her cheap treats and food all the way to super expensive gourmet varieties. Almost all of those were complete waste as there’s very few things she’ll actually eat thus just flushed money down drain as she either wouldn’t touch or only ate what she wanted of it liquid, meat, etc. I have to give her a pretty specific diet so that she’s not wasteful.
I’ve gotten a variety across the board of Hartz delectables including one flavor in each of the varieties (gravy, broth, stew, etc). She’s had zero issues with any of them and she begs for them as much as she can in day. She gets 1 to 2 of them in evening as they’re her reward for coming into barn for lockdown all on her own.
She absolutely loves them and will pick them over the treats she likes every time. She has her dry food set up right by where she’s given these in separate bowl. She’ll eat all of this and then eat her dry food.
What I found in the other canned/wet foods I attempted to give her is that she liked the “juice” over the actual meat in most. She does same thing with these by licking all liquids first then grabbing the shreds and little pieces of meat.
These are the perfect size for a treat feeding or added happy food. There’s not a ton in each bag and there’s not some minuscule amount either. There’s no need for a can lid or refrigerator as they’re basically single serve baggies.
Something to scrape out the contents of bag is necessary as some the meat will stay in bottom or get stuck to sides while dumping into bowl. I use a plastic knife to do this but the $1 icing applicator/scraper at dollar tree that’s a miniature silicone deign also would work great. I’ve tried rolling bag up to empty all out without scraping but it doesn’t work.
Just wish better cost per unit so could give her how many she would like to have in day (1 to 2 in am and 1 to 2 in pm). But I’ve yet to find them.
The box they come in doesn’t hold up too well. I apply duct tape to the bottom to give it some firmness and make it where just doesn’t fall apart. Rather than keeping in original boxes separated by flavor (way they come unless variety pack), I empty the boxes, strengthen with tape, put each flavor into a stack, and then set up the daily giving order so different flavor each time given. Once all gathered for a box they’re placed into one of their original boxes with tape.
It’s also great to know that if and when another cat comes into my life that both kitten and senior versions available.

My furchild is a picky eater. I have the stew one which she likes but when I opened one of these she hog wild. Will definitely be getting another box.
The portion size is just enough for her. She on a diet so the amount is perfect. As for the value for money, I wish they were a little cheaper considering the pouch is small. The texture is better than most. Smell…she likes it, I don’t. But I don’t eat it.
I will be buying again.
