I wanted to like these pants but at 5 ft tall I just look like I am drowning in them and the crotch hangs like 6 inches lower than it should. The material is soft and it feels okay on the belly/waist area. But the style just looks really sloppy on my frame and isn’t very practical for how low the crotch ends up being. No other complaints about the jeans themselves, just very unflattering.

The price tag on these jeans is pretty steep. So I was obviously expecting great things from them. First, they are very well-made and the material the Jean is very soft.
The jeans bend and flex well as you move and have a good amount of stretch. They do shrink some in the wash if you dry them. When I did wash them, not much fading.
Wearing them I do have a little trouble keeping them up. They aren’t exactly tight around my belly and I feel like I need a belt because they slide down. This might be due to me having a smaller backside and nothing to hold him up. But when I get up from sitting down, or I’ve been walking a while, I have to do a little wiggle to pull them back into place.
Overall, I am happy with them. However, I would not purchase them due to the price tag.

I have 5 kids. I am no longer in the pregnancy or postpartum phase of life, but I love Hatch clothes for their ability to be worn pregnant, postpartum, and beyond. I first discovered Hatch during my pregnancy with child #4 (or #5? 🧐😂🤷♀️) and I still wear some of them today. (My favorite are their leggings!) Anyway, because of my love for Hatch I went ahead and ordered these hoping that they would be another home run. I ordered these in a size 27. I typically wear a 27 or 28 in other (non maternity) jeans. I really liked this style and I would have totally worn them ALL THE TIME had they fit. But, sadly, they were too big for me. I don’t think I could have sized down as I did have a little bunching going on at the side panel (despite them being loose) and I think these just weren’t something that are best for the “beyond” portion of pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. I should add, I am an apple shape and carry all me weight in my midsection as well as have an apron belly, so sometimes maternity styles end up being a better fit for me. The quality is fantastic and they feel like $200 non maternity jeans. I also wanted to compare theses with the destroyed light wash in the same style that I ordered in a size 28. Those were actually less loose than these even though they were a size bigger so that was strange. (I loved those too if you’re interested.)
For reference- I’m 140 lbs, 5’2.

Honestly I love these jeans (pregnant or not). They’re really high quality and the boyfriend style is really trendy and relaxed.
Overall pros:
– Really high quality – these are designer level in my opinion
– Denim is a soft, stretchy fabric so they’re really comfortable to wear
– I love the relaxed fit – the boyfriend style is comfortable and these look great with tshirts, sneakers and sandals
– There’s definitely room to stretch and grow with you
– Even if you’re not pregnant, these jeans are amazing. Just size down a lot
Cons:
– These run big. If you are either not pregnant or at the beginning of your pregnancy these are going to be massive on you (particularly in stomach and thigh areas). I normally wear a size 29 so got a size 29 in these too, and I am swimming in them. I”m not pregnant yet, just loved the jeans and I wish I had sized down a size or two

Well-made with heavy duty material, fits perfectly with a little give for comfort. Looks really cute on and you can wear them after baby arrives. So good value for jean you can wear for years.

These are the best maternity jeans! They don’t look like the typical ugly pregnancy jeans. The elastic side panels are hardly noticeable in the early pregnancy stages. I love that these are meant to be worn through postpartum, too. The size fits as expected. The quality is excellent. I like the distressed edges on the hem.

Not only were they extremely tight on her thighs and butt but they were so tight on her stomach she could only wear them for a few minutes before having to take them off.
