I’m sooo disappointed. I ordered this download and it wouldn’t open up on my hp. The description said that it was HP windows compatible . Lies! They new their would be glitches in the downloading process. Thats why they also state no money back/ no refunds. That was my first time purchasing a game from Amazon and will be my last. What a bummer 😕. I was really looking forward to playing the Nancy Drew game as I have always been a fan of her games and Agatha Christie as well. I will never order a download able game again..

I have always enjoyed playing these games. This is due to both enjoying the format of the games but also because I read the Nancy Drew Stories as a child. I was really looking forward to this game since it was based on the first Book in the series. However I found this game to be a bit boring. Her Interactive need to step up on these games and make them a little more interesting.

18yo daughter and I played this over a week or so. Really enjoyed it. Good variety of clues, puzzles and challenges. For this particular game, my one complaint was having to repeatedly return to a telegram store to earn money for gas before running out. That got kinda tedious.

I read the bad reviews that warned about the mini golf, driving, and dress sewing and it made me almost not get it. But I did out of loyalty. I think I’m a lucky individual because I never blew a tire while driving, I beat the mini golf on the first try, and sewed the dress on my 3rd try. It just wasn’t that hard for me. I enjoyed the story and thought it was a solid game. I’d recommend it.

This game was so much fun and we loved the old times theme of it and the music. Make sure you watch out for the potholes though andvwhen you drive you press the space bar to enter a building.

I was hesitant to buy this game after reading some not-so-great reviews. However, this is one of my favorites! I really liked how he game was pretty straightforward and solvable yet engaging and not too simplistic. I feel like a lot of the newer games have puzzles that are just too hard for me to figure out. This one kept me interested, had an excellent mix of plot line and mini-games, and it gave a great amount of play time (I think this game took me about 6 or 7 hours to play). One of the things I don’t like about the Nancy Drew games is the amount of time you have to devote to navigating the physical space of the game (such as walking through seemingly endless passages or forests). This game really didn’t have that feel at all.
I’d highly recommend this game for someone who is newer to the series or people who enjoy a challenging yet do-able game! Excellent!

First of all I would like to say that I am a huge fan of Nancy Drew games. However, I was pretty disappointed with this one only because of the digital download. There were parts of the game when you had to click and hold the mouse for long periods of time (such as driving), and the digital download would ALWAYS freeze in the middle of something. So, something I should have been able to complete in 2 or 3 tries took me 20-30. I wasn’t even able to complete the last part of the game because of this. I was also using a laptop, which made it a little more difficult to navigate, but the main problem was the digital download. I will stick to my CDs from now on.
