Google OS huge plus as doesn’t require chromecast. Art mode works relatively well. Video quality is excellent. Matte screen does make it look like wall art. Mounting was super easy, and a big plus that the mount is included.
Biggest cons are the lack of a HiSense phone app for interacting with the TV (eg loading wallpapers and art) and the extremely buggy auto-dimmer and motion detector. Another is the what feels like an incomplete Art store, including too few “immersive” themes.

The audio started cutting out about 1 week after the Amazon return/exchange window closed. Amazon customer support told me sorry nothing they can do. So I’m left to work it through Hisense. Hope they resolve it, but more than 24hrs after submitting a claim via their website, I haven’t heard anything from them. If it gets resolved in a timely manner, I will happily bring up the rating.
The matte finish is great, it seems as good as the Frame, although I don’t have them side by side..
The teak frame that comes in the box was a perfect match with my newly built living room entertainment wall and exactly what I hoped for.
I know The Frame is more flush due to the OCB, but I’m more than happy with how this one sits against the wall.
Pictures look good, just like the Frame.. however, while i’m happy the artwork is free, I’m disappointed by the selection. Hoping to see some new offerings with time, and hopefully some more popular pieces in the mix. If I had to pay for the famous art, I’d like to have the option. The Frame has a lot of selection albeit at a subscription cost.
Picture and audio is nothing to write home about but it’s everything we need in a tv for the living area.

Recently upgraded my office. This screen is fantastic! I highly recommend it. Excellent picture quality, super thin and hangs flat on the wall – as long as you replace the straight power cord they provide with a right angle version. Seems like a simple miss by Hisense.
You can upload your own pictures through a mobile app. The default ones are limited but plenty of nice options – albeit a little classical. They could use more modern options. Time will fix that.
Great price compared to another option out there.

Overall we are greatly impressed with the picture quality, and the easy operation of the tv. Compared to its competitor, this tv is much easier to navigate and find what you need. The color and anti-glare screen truly impress. The sound is above average but could be improved a bit.
One downside to the design is the bevel on the bottom for the remote signal. You would think it is a picture frame, until you see the bevel that sticks down about 3/8 inch on the side.
After measuring out the proper location for my outlet to match with the recess on the back of the tv, installation was a breeze. It hung just like a canvas.
The major downside to the install is this requires a very deep recessed outlet in order to sit flush against the wall as it is intended. I installed a 1 inch recessed outlet and it still wasn’t enough because the electric plug pushed the tv back. Hi-Sense should have put a smaller plug or one with an elbow like other manufacturers, but instead they put a normal straight plug which keeps the tv from going flush. In order to remedy this either install a very deep recessed outlet, or procure a different tv cable which has a smaller or elbow plug (which is what I did and it worked great)
All in all after overcoming the power cable issue, we were very impressed with our purchase!

We just bought a condo and my wife didn’t want a big black panel hanging on the living room wall. I chose this Canvas TV over The Frame and extremely pleased with it hence 5 stars! But there are a few things worth noting… 1) While mounting hardware comes with it and allows for a very flush mount, be aware that it offers very little lateral movement. You’re pretty much locked in to wherever your wall studs are. 2) While the preloaded art gallery that comes with it is great, I wish there was a way to expand that library without having to do so via my own photos. Perhaps there is a way but I haven’t figured it out yet.
Oct 2024 Update: I contacted Hisense about whether there was a way to expand the art library other than using photos. The answer finally came … “Not yet”. So fingers crossed that they will eventually develop a means to do so. After a month, I’m still loving this TV.

I got the 65″ Canvas and I absolutely love it. No complaints so far and I’ve had it for about a month. The picture is great and it is loud. I also love the art mode. I’ve been able to upload my own artwork to customize the look. I was considering the Samsung Frame and so happy this came out this summer. The price was so much better than the Frame. It’s one of my favorite purchases this year!
