First of all, I actually ordered HKS 3106-EX007 Universal Stainless Hi-Power Muffler; however, Amazon sent me this muffler instead. I was actually
pleased because this one costs more than what I ordered. The tip had a little damage (?) and it did not have a perfect circular shape. I was worried
because I was planning to insert a silencer which this company sells as an option.
So, I believe most people who install this muffler own a V4 engine smaller car than mine. But my only interest was the sound. I have watched numerous
YouTube videos, and I liked how it gives low bass sound. I assumed if I put it on my V6 vehicle, that deep sound will be more emphasized.
Then, I took my car to a muffler shop. I asked the mechanic to take off both the resonator and the muffler so it is straight from the catalyst. There
was a plenty of space to insert where the resonator used to be. The large 120mm tip nicely fitted on the cutout on the rear bumper.
The sound was more than I expected. What can I say… I just love it. This gave me a strong internal resonance. It feels like I have a surround speaker
all around my car. 😀 The internal resonance becomes the strongest at 2,000rpm. This is exactly where the engine stays at when I maintain the speed
on the road. Even at 60 or 70 mph, it’s still a deep sound rather than a high-pitch sound.
Overall, I totally recommend this item. It’s worth paying the money. I can say this is better than Flowmaster for sure. I will put a video on after/before
