It’s tricky to get a hang of it first, but once you figure it out, videos come out great, you can. Move, rotate, zoom etc. Everything without touching the phone and moving the phone recording. Only reason I have it 4stars is because sometimes it shakes when my phone touches the back part of the stabilizer is I move it too fast, but that might be due to the size of my phone, maybe with a smaller phone I wouldn’t have this issue.

This 3-axis phone gimbal has exceeded all my expectations and has quickly become an essential tool in my content creation arsenal. The BT connection is solid and the hohem app is simple to use. Making adding effects and music like a pro, super simple.
The magnetic fill light is a brilliant addition that takes my videos to a whole new level. The quality of the light is impressive, and the fact that it’s magnetic and can be easily attached to the gimbal is super convenient. It provides just the right amount of illumination for my shots, whether I’m filming indoors or outdoors.
Portability is a big factor for me, and this gimbal hits the mark. It’s incredibly portable and foldable, making it a breeze to carry around wherever I go. The compact design doesn’t compromise on stability, though – my videos come out buttery smooth even when I’m on the move. The attachable tripod make for solid mounting onto flat surfaces making for a more hands free experience, especially with the track person feature.
I use both an iPhone and an Android device for my content creation, and this gimbal handles both seamlessly. The adjustable phone holder accommodates various smartphone sizes, and the setup process is quick and hassle-free. Switching between devices is a breeze, thanks to the thoughtful design. The larger phone cases should be removed as it makes it easier to balance out the phone when first setting up.

Everything is pretty much one-handed controls and everything seems to be in very reachable spots making it easy to switch functions.

I love this iSteady XE Kit Gimbal Stabilizer. All in all, I am pleased with this purchase.Initially, it appeared not to be as simple to use as the
item description indicated, but we’re getting the hang of it. (True, it does not require “tedious
leveling”, so I am grateful for that!). I was excited to figure out how to activate the smart
tracking skills, but I couldn’t figure out how to do it. Finally, I realized that the app had a
tutorial. USE IT!! It’s very helpful! The only downside about the app, is that it requires access
to your camera roll. If you are the type of person who is anxious about privacy issues, this
might be a deal-breaker for you.
Once I figured out the face tracking feature, I really enjoyed it. If you (or your subject) are
moving, the stabilizer will keep the person’s face in the center of the frame. Your videos will
look so much more professional with this feature in addition to the stabilization.
It’s very convenient to access the controls since they are all right there on the handle. (You
don’t need to flip back and forth between your phone screen and the stabilizer device.). You
can flip from landscape to portrait orientation with the touch of a button on the handle.
Likewise, you can zoom and start/pause recording without having to mess with your phone.
I also really appreciate the magnetic light that comes with it if you purchase the kit option. The
different light temperatures as well as intensities will come in very handy. It’s brighter than
expected but does not appear harsh, even on the highest settings. The magnetic attachment
allows you to orient it either facing yourself or outward toward your subjects, so you can use it
for filming others or yourself. It’s remarkably small, so I’ll likely always keep it with me. (The
stabilizer itself also folds down into a pretty compact formation and comes with a little travel
bag. This will increase the likelihood that I will have it on hand when I need to use it.)
I’ve been having a great time playing with this new toy! Maybe I’ve been overusing it, but my
wrist is not happy. I have not checked the claims that it is the lightest stabilizer on the market.
Just be aware, that if you plan to use it for extended periods of time, it will still start to feel
uncomfortably heavy.

I love this unfortunately the light will not charge or light up. I need it to use this now without the light so I can’t return it. It’s totally worth it if you don’t need the light, but it’s awesome if yours works when you order it.
