EDIT MY REVIEW. Never Ever spill any of this stuff in your truck. Even though securly closed, somehow the lid came off. Almost an entire bottle spilled into to floor and carpet of the back seat. The smell is overwhelming. I’ve had the interior detailed TWICE. NOW, I have removed the driver seat, ripped out the carpet, cleaned down to the metal and i still cannot the smell out. Nor can i drive my truck. I am sad but…I think my diesel dually is running more smoothly. My fuel mileage has improved slightly. Easy to use. Effective.

I could feel the difference from day 1 add 8oz per 20gal on empty or low fuel then top off to get good mixture. Chemical works better if it sits in your tank for a day.

At 6,000 miles, I added Diesel Extreme to my new RAM 2500 Cummins 6.7. The truck is new, so I was not expecting any noticeable changes in performance, but wow, what a difference! On a trip home from camping, I added the specified amount of Diesel Extreme to my tank. When it came time to refuel again, I added EDT (I use it on every fill-up) and got back on the road.
As I was driving, I realized the truck felt like it was running smoother and had a little extra power. I was thinking about this for quite a few miles, because I wanted to be sure I wasn’t imagining an improvement. Well, I’m convinced there was a substantial improvement. I believe there was a 1-2 MPG increase and that seems to be a repeating pattern on each fill-up. I still notice more engine smoothness and a small bump in power.
Whatever the case, one tank of diesel with Diesel Extreme cleared up my fuel system and increased performance. I was not expecting this, not at all! I’m giving this product two thumbs up!

I had some issues i think now were caused by using supermarket diesel. I tried a few other cleaners but this one seemed to actually make a difference. Now I recognize the smell when i fill up at Esso I think the difference is they add cleaner while supermarkets skimp on that so are cheaper. I’ll just use Esso in future. I’ve added what was left to some diesel i’ve got in reserve for storage as its supposed to extend the life significantly.

Smoother ride – made the engine less noisy. better mileage overall, less vibration, gas peddle response much faster. it seems the fuel system much more cleaner. Very smelly. Do not storage it in your vehicle. Highly recommend.

Own a 00 f250 (7.3) in mint condition, also a 07.4 Duramax lbz, also mint. I used hot shot whatever this is to compare to the Grey bottled formula diesel keen from power service products.. They even smell identical, exactly the same color and the same results. I have used diesel kleen for fifteen years. No exaggeration.
The good news is, this hot shots secret whatever, it does work. I can attest to good throttle response, quieter injectors and less valve rattle in both diesels I own.. However, there’s no noticeable difference between hot shots and diesel kleen in the gray bottle that I can vouch for, even on my scan tool. Both products contain cetane and lubricity additives.
In short, the product works as stated but to me, it doesn’t live up to the hype from the duramax crowd. For the money and ease of locating additives locally and can be found in most all stores, I’ll likely continue to use diesel kleen. Sorry but I just can’t see the hype for this, and good luck finding this at a store near you.
FYI – Injector balance rates on my duramax lbz were identical before and after use of this product, as are diesel kleen results identically. But, they were no worse, either. Remember, it will pep up throttle response slightly and shut up diesel rattle by 30 or 40 percent on both my diesels. That’s a fact.

I’ve used other products that had some effect but Hot Shot Secret Diesel Extreme leaves the competition in the dust. I drive a 2005 Chevrolet 2500HD Duramax. With Hot Shot Secret the average fuel economy is over 20 mpg. The best mileage I could get before using Hot Shot Secret was 16 mpg. I snapped the photo at the end of a long drive which included scaling some of the highest passes on I-5. Getting 20 mpg in a 7,000 pound truck at 70 mph is amazing. With nearly 200,000 miles on the truck I’ve never had any issues with the injectors. Hot Shot Secret Diesel Extreme keeps injectors clean and raised the cetane level which is why it produces such great performance.
