Household Essentials White Paper Rope Waste Basket

Pros: Looks decent and works for my purposes, which is to act as a decorative basket/pot for an artificial bamboo plant (bought elsewhere).

Cons: The material is quite flimsy; it’s like a papery straw that feels like it would be easily crushed if not careful. The plastic liner inside also arrived crumpled. I tried to straighten it to no avail—the picture included is after attempting to straighten it. Maybe this can be corrected by using a low heat or something but I didn’t need it anyway for my purposes. Bottom line is, I would not recommend its use as a wastebasket unless you’re not going for any kind of durability.

Neutral observation: the color I ordered, tan, is closer to two thirds cream and one third tan/straw-colored. The cream color feels like a very pale yellow up close.

Such a pretty basket, but broke inside the box very fragile to be packed in a box.

I wanted an attractive yet subtle waste basket for my bedroom, but I didn’t want something made from plastic, and I saw that this was made from natural fibers so I purchased it. The delayed wait for shipment was annoying, HOWEVER, when it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it came with a clear plastic receptacle that acts as a barrier for even toe nail clippings from falling through. Not sure if that was just a temporary measure to hold the shape in shipping, or if this is part of how you’re supposed to use this thing, but I and happy to use it with this feature because it eliminates the need to put a trash bag in there since I mostly use this for paper waste and the occasion nail clippings.

Definitely would recommend!
