Printer cartridges remain the biggest scam but I just don’t want to chance a non original cartridge. I should read all the reviews and try a cheaper solution with good reviews but oem always works without issue. They do seem to dry out kinda fast and I never get the page count that is suggested(even using a less dark print consistently).

HP ink works with HP printers. It is kind of expensive though.

I canceled the Instant Ink HP service program, but when my billing period ended, my wireless HP 8025e stopped printing. I tried third-party knockoff printer cartridges advertised to work on this HP model. Nope—printer LCD readout reported genuine HP cartridges not installed. I bought both the HP 910XL Black High-yield and CMY Ink Cartridges as a set, installed, and now the printer works. I use my HP LaserJet most of the time, and it was not worth paying monthly dues for the HP service. This will work better for me in the long run, plus save money based on my little color printing needs.
