My five-star rating is somewhat tentative, because I just got the printer up and running yesterday. I did a lot of research, and read more than a few online printer reviews. I narrowed my choices down to the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e and the Epson EcoTank ET-4760. I was replacing an Epson printer that served me well. I read about the pros/cons of EcoTank printers. Bottomline, they’re cheaper with regard to ink, but ink drying can be a problem if you don’t print frequently (and I don’t print much anymore.) I liked the Epson touch-screen better, especially the one on my outgoing printer. (Additionally, IMHO printers are not visually attractive objects, worthy of display, so I tend to like black which seems to make them more invisible. The HP is not available in black.) The reviews on the HP were sparse. I then discovered that the ET-4760 has been around since July 2019 and the HP was introduced in March 2021. Obviously, in the world of technology things can change a lot in two years. I was really on the fence with the two printers, so I basically held my breath and bought the HP. The only hiccup in the unpacking/set-up process was getting the printer to join my wireless network. I tried twice using the phone app. (iPhone XS/iOS 14.4.2), and once using my laptop (MacBook Pro 2019/macOS Big Sur) to no avail. I started to get worried. However, I was then prompted to use the “Wireless Wizard” on the printer itself. I needed to enter my password manually on the printer touchscreen. Success! All in all, it was a lot less painful than I expected. I registered with HP+ but vetoed, at least for now, the “Instant Ink” program. I’m printing from my laptop, my desktop (Mac Mini 2011/macOS High Sierra), and my phone without any issues. Perhaps, I’ve had a succession of noisy printers, but I am not finding this printer to be noisier than any of the other printers that I have owned. The copies are as good as my previous printer, which is as good as I need them to be (and for a printer, it doesn’t look that bad…). My first impression is that the HP 9025e is worthy of five stars at this point. Longevity will be the real test…

Printer worked exactly as I expected, and as advertised.
Very happy with this printer, and the second tray is a very good bonus.

Regarding bullet point 4. from initial review below. I was told I would receive the replacement cartridges by 11/6/23; they did not arrive. Been without a printer for over two weeks now. Contacted hp Support, they couldn’t confirm that they shipped, nor have a tracking number. They grasp at any explanation you’ll accept just to get you off the phone; without any true action on their part. Changed rating from two stars, down to one star. Is negative stars an option??

Purchased this 9025e in July 2023, and hesitantly signed up for the Instant Ink subscription. Experienced a paper jam two months after receiving the all-in-one printer. The paper jam caused parts (a spring and washers) to be โthrownโ inside the printer. Contacted hp Support, they said remove the thrown parts and see if it prints. It did print, hp said to proceed, no action on their part will be taken. I continued using the printer, but I was worried.
Fast forward to three months after purchase, another paper jam occurred, rendering the device inoperable. Contacted hp Support, after much testing concluded the unit needed to be replaced. hp said they will ship one to me, will take three weeks to deliver. Mine is a small real estate business, where the printer is relied on and used every day. Three weeks was not acceptable, so hp offered an expedited shipping option, but it would cost me $15. I didnโt think I should have to pay that, but I did, as I need the device to run my business.
Received the warranty replacement new (refurbished) 9025e all-in-one printer in two days, I was happy about that, but recalled that I had to pay to get it that fast. Went to work setting up the replacement but found that the ink cartridges I received from the hp Instant Ink subscription wouldnโt work in it. Contacted hp Support (Mumbai India). Turns out that the replacement 9025e printer should have included ink cartridges with it but did not. hp Support said they would ship the correct ink cartridges to get the unit started, then I could switch to the Instant Ink cartridges. hp gave an estimate of two weeks to receive the cartridges, AND, expedited shipping is NOT an option. So here I sit with no working printer.
I am a small business owner who strives to serve our customersโ needs in a timely fashion. If we donโt, weโre out of business. hp failed me on more than one level with this 9025e device.
1. Expedited shipping of the warranty replacement printer cost me $15, otherwise would have taken nearly three weeks to receive it.
2. Failure to include the correct ink cartridges with the replacement printer.
3. The restriction of not being able to use the Instant Ink subscription cartridges in the replacement unit, out of the box.
4. Slow delivery of ink cartridges to get the replacement started (should have been provided in the replacement unit, in the first place). Expedited shipping not an option.
In my estimation, hp should have replaced the printer immediately after the initial paper jam/parts throwing incident. I knew it was a matter of time before problems would develop.
Iโm now having to send printing jobs to a local print shop, seven miles away. Inconvenient, and takes two days to get the product.
Going weeks without having a printer/copier/scanner is avoidable. hp needs to improve in supporting their customers, especially when their products and follow-up service fall short. At this point, Iโm not sure about the Instant Ink subscription.
Iโve had five hp all-in-one Officejet printers over the years. Some were pretty good, a couple not very good. Not off to a good start with this 9025e.

The out-of-the box set up was easy and intuitive! Connected to WIFI and the HP Smart app instantaneously – no issues. Sturdy construction and good footprint on my desk. I signed up for the instant ink plan – 12 months free and can cancel/change anytime, understanding that the printer came with the required ink cartridges (approx. $200 value!). I had the OfficeJet Pro 8600 for 10 years – it was a workhorse – the printer head recently failed and it was too much of a hassle to get repaired/replaced (costly and couldn’t be bothered to be honest). Amazon had 20% off on the 9025e, so I went for it. I’ll save approx. $330/year with the instant ink plan, if not more – no brainer in my opinion! Great deal overall!!!!

I bought this printer to replace an old hp envy all in one printer. I am a Notary so I do a lot of printing for my clients and myself. I have the instant ink plan so everything ships when I need it. This printer makes my time go faster I used to spend hours scanning and printing not to mention it is very quiet. I like that it holds 500 pages of paper so I don’t have to keep filling the tray. I like that I can scan, fax, print from my phone. The feeder is awesome no more scanning just one document I love that I have the option to email my scans to the cloud, my email, or the laptop. Everything just works putting the ink in was easy setting up was simple. I have no complaints I consider it a life saver and a gift to myself it will make things easier for me so I can still have time to be a mom and work my other job as I am also a paraprofessional.
