So the light looks and works great! But better yet, I scanned the QR and the app opened/worked connected instantly no problem. Iโm not sure what the folks saying it doesnโt function fully, or that thereโs sections written in Chineseโฆ Iโm currently running custom 8 setting timer program that took about 5 minutes to setup including opening the box/unpacking the light. Also takes some playing to figure out since for instance Moonlight looks silly at high intensity, but great at 20-30%. Also worth noting, these LEDs blend wonderfully. My previous light you could see red, blue, green bulbs reacting with the water/glass. These blend to a cohesive single color before hitting the water.

great value from a known brand if you want to buy a light with bluetooth function. However, it is not using a dedicated app, which can be an advantage if you have other bluetooth devices or an inconvenience as it complicates the installation and use of it. For a 30 inch aquarium, I definitively advise you to pick the bigger model. The light will never be detected by the app by default and you need to unplug and plug 3 times the power cable for the light to enter the detection mode.

The light is well built and bright. There are buttons to control the light on the top. I think this is a much better design than having the buttons on the power cord hanging off the side of the tank. The app is easy to use. My tank is in the living room and it’s nice to be able to adjust the light from across the room. I can turn it down when watching TV or just change the color easily. I definitely recommend this light.

App keeps “failing” at every little step. Saving changes, running automations, connecting to device… also has parts that are in untranslated Chinese. Basically nothing works other than manual RGB and brightness control. The light itself is very good though, colors are beautiful and bright.
Edited to bring down star rating: light now turns bright/dim randomly. I need to completely disconnect from the app to make it stop, but then I’m not free to adjust the RGB or brightness conveniently. The advertised 8 step schedule doesn’t work, scheduled on/off doesn’t work, sunset/sunrise doesn’t work, which is all really annoying but the random brightness adjustment is what really makes this unusable.
Second edit: Brought this light out from storage to try again since the app seems to have updated, and now the app finally works! Bluetooth connection is still not quite 100% but I’m still happy.

This is pretty much a fluval Led 3.0 but cheaper. Had to reset the unit following the power off reset procedure described in the manual as it would not connect to the app at first but aside from that an amazing value and quality!

nice light. bright, easy setup on the app. timer function and screen setting is great. customized light cycle for your aquarium.

The smart functionality is limited at best. They advise that itโs *your* issue the app doesnโt see the device and requires opening and closing the app multiple times for it be seen. Literally in a max 7 foot, no obstacle triangle between router, phone, and this โsmartโ light and it has a 4% success rate of working the first time (being generous) or even the first 5 times. Randomly deleting those smart scenes is also a nice touch for when it does finally connect๐
So for a light you have to manually adjust, this is extremely overpriced and a waste of money. Very strongly do not recommend.

Just received this light last night and tried connecting it to the Tuya app as directed to access all the functions as described. I spent close to an hour and a half and have been unable to get the app to add the device to the app. I will try again today and see what happens. The light is bright and appears to be of good quality for the price point. Hopefully I can get the app to work. The app keeps saying to turn on the Bluetooth on my phone which it is on, but it won’t discover the light. I will update this review after I try to trouble shoot the issue.
