 I’m trying to get more into making specialty coffees and things like that so wanted to try this as I don’t have a little espresso machine like this at home. It works pretty well, I followed the step by step instructions for set up, for the espresso, and for the cappuccino/milk frothing.
The set up was pretty easy. The water and the steam piece both heat up incredibly fast, maybe 20 seconds if that.
It seems to make pretty good espresso. It didn’t look as concentrated as I expected, so not sure if that’s a machine thing or me thing. I did however use both a pick to fluff up and break up the coffee grounds and the press to then press them down as you’re supposed to do. One hard thing is that it’s a very small compact machine, so my mug had a very snug fit. You may have to use a small mug or pour into another after. Overall not bad though.
The milk frothing was a little less entertaining. The machine does not come with a jug so you either need to buy one if you don’t have something safe to use. I was lucky in that I have a keurig that had come with one so I used that. Since this machine is so small, if you don’t have it on a raised surface, it’s a bit challenging to insert the steam wand, as you have to extremely angle the jug to do so. The steamer was also EXTREMELY LOUD, it both scared my dog and made me feel like I was going to blow out my hearing. It said it was supposed to take about 30 sec to froth but mine took almost 2 min. Mine also didn’t froth much but I believe this is because I used almond milk rather than regular milk.
It doesn’t make espresso and coffee like what you’ll get at a nice coffeeshop, but it gets the job done enough.

 I have been using this machine for a mouth now and I‘m very impressed，more better than I expected tobe. I rarely praise entry level espresso machines，I love this.The coffe it makes is excellent and the steam output is great and makes pexfect milk.It takes little space.Is sturdy and easy to use，very happy with the coffee machine.Highly recommend.

WOW – I had a 4 year old espresso maker that I thought was pretty good.
I think it did 10 bars of pressure. This unit is in a whole other class.
First thing I was so impressed with how beautiful this looks in my kitchen and how well it is built.
It takes a tad of learning to use it – be sure to read the very thorough manual and clean it prior to use.
I use many types of beans – dark roast Lavazava Espresso grind is the most awesome in this of the many I have tried.
This makes 2 cups at once – which is a feature I really appreciate.
I can totally recommend this unit – been a month and no problems at all..

First off let me say this; The ILAVIE Espresso Machine with Steamer is a beautiful appliance, and commands attention wherever it’s placed. I’ve always wanted a professional espresso machine and couldn’t be happier to have one of my own.
Its important to read and follow the instructions so that the unit can be properly cleaned before first use, failure to do so can result in unpleasant surprises later on. There’s a quick start guide and a regular instruction booklet included. Note: this kit does not include a milk frothing pitcher, so be sure to have one on hand, and you’re ready to go!
You can make one or two cups of espresso at a time using the control buttons at the top. The display screen shows the status of the brewing temp as well as any error codes when necessary. Thankfully, it allows you to switch away from the foreign and alien Celsius temperature system, to the more sensible Fahrenheit system used here in America, so there’s that.
And it makes a great espresso and other coffee drinks, and it’s well worth having this stunning machine on hand as your taste buds will love you! Needless to say, I’, very impressed with the ILAVIE Espresso Machine with Steamer. It earns my highest recommendation.

I have a Breville and wanted a middle of the road machine for my boat, and went with this one for size. It is very light, which got me wondering. Anway, got it, opened it, read the directions, and made first cup. Did A OK. Went to make second cup and error code E2 came up, not reaching temp. Buttons flashed, but would not heat up or brew. I unplugged and walked away an hour and tried again, same thing. Very disappointed and will buy a Breville instead. I do NOT recommend this machine.
