I’m reviewing this product after 1 month of using it with my e-scooter.
You just have to consider the same things as other people have mentioned here:
– If possible choose the larger size you currently need. I bought an XXL size and it still fits a bit tight;
– Because it is tight, the nose area sometimes hurts a little;
– The visor fogs up easily;
In general, it’s an amazing helmet, before to get it I was searching a lot for a helmet with a removable chin/visor on websites in Canada, but I didn’t find it. This is valuable to me because I can use the same helmet for summer/winter weather.

This is a very good helmet for $130.
Pros: Comfortable padding, quality construction, sunshield, venting, eye glasses/earbud friendly, non-mushroom look, quiet, light weight
Cons: chin guard is very close to your nose
From the outside the sunshield is coal black but looking through it it’s a light smoke color. I rode at dusk and could still see well. Bonus…ILM just launched it’s clear shield as a separate purchase.
I agree with other reviews…Order one size bigger.

This is my first full-faced DOT approved helmet. I use it whenever I ride my e-bike to work and back. I feel safer and it fits over my glasses. It hardly fogs up and I can see and hear clearly. It also looks cool with the army green and stars. I’ll stay with ILM for my future needs. Thanks! Be sure to measure your head before ordering to get the right size. I have a big head and ordered an XXL. I’m glad I did. It fits perfectly.

This is the best feeling helmet I’ve worn, honestly. I used to use a FLY Racing motocross helmet and paid nearly $200 for it compared to how much I paid for this one and I gotta say I’m pretty blown away. It weighs less, fits better and (imo) looks better too. I love that I’m able to take the face guard and visor off and being able to pull down the tinted eye shield is really nice too. My glasses were a pain (literally) to wear with the FLY helmet but they fit perfectly in this helmet. There is a pocket in the ear area for wireless headphones to go which is awesome. Also, being able to open or close the vent on the face guard and two more on the top sides of the helmet is going to be really nice when the warm weather comes back. The visor looks like it should be resistant to water while raining, though I’ve yet to test it but I will say that it hasn’t had too many issues with fogging up. It does a little bit but I’ll just get some antifog and slather that on there. Oh also, the quick release strap is AWESOME and I’m so glad I don’t gotta fiddle with the loop strap of my old helmet anymore! Overall, 10/10 and Baron Slorb the Resilient approves as well.

My head fits snuggly inside and all the components are well fitted and snug, but the shell is large. Expect the bottom of the helmet to rub or catch if you have a short neck or a stiff collar. Causing the helmet to constantly shift when I turn my head, look up, etc. Requiring constant readjustment.

I was struggling to find a good cheap helmet for my job till I stumbled around this one.
– Comfortable on the head
– Has room for earbuds(even if they’re big)
– Has room for glasses
– Good Quick strap
– Good tinted visor (even at night)
– Good Ventilation system

Was recently gifted an e-scooter that goes 45mph. Used the measurement chart and the helmet I got fits great. Was snug at first but wore it for like 20 minutes and it loosened up to just right. The face plate is a little close to the nose, I’d feel better with a lil extra padding there but I’ll let slide. Like the color and decal. Not as heavy as I thought it was going to be. It’s winter now so maybe I’ll have an update on a 98 degree day with 85% humidity…..till then my opinion is it’s solid.
