Hello all, I ordered this software and I wanted to give it 5 stars, but I gave it 4 reasons being, in order to change from one user profile to another you have to close whole application and then log back in, For me this is time consuming after a while it gets bothersome and boring, the designers could have put in a “change user script code with (button)” in this program. Other than that it is a very good software to have.
There are several different planes that you the user can use, (also the support for this software is good), even though the software came out a few years back), It’s still a good buy, I’ve used this on windows vista through windows 10, it works very good on windows 10, Bottom line is if you want to learn typing or just want to brush up on or sharpen your skills this is a good choice to invest in.

I’m going to preface this by saying that my daughter and I have two different ratings for this product. She currently thinks it’s a four star product, I say 5. We purchased this 3 years ago, when our daughter was 7. If you’d have asked her at that time, she would have said 1 star. She found it frustrating, wouldn’t try the games so much, and didn’t want to deal with it. And because I was dealing with some pretty intense stuff at the time, I figured I’d just wait until, oh, I don’t know, she found something she really wanted to do that needed typing and say “here you go, have at it!”
So this time around it’s going much better. She says she doesn’t like all of the music, she thinks some of it’s annoying and that the lessons and games could be more interesting. And yet, when I tried to get my computer back to write this review, she kept playing the games, even after I told her to get off. So, that tells me they’re a bit more interesting then a 10 year old should want to admit to her mother. My perspective is that this is a better suite of lessons and games then I’ve seen available for free instruction on-line, and it was worth the price. It has run on two different computers with different versions of Windows (we’re currently running windows 10 and it works fine with that also), and I feel like it’s definitely a serious step up from how I had to learn typing back when I was in high school. Back when we actually had to use fossils called type writers.
I think the take home message from this is that this is an effective bit of software, and will totally get the job done. How your child receives it, if you are planning on using it with a kiddo, may depend on their age and enthusiasm level for learning how to type. I don’t see anything wrong with it and would have found it infinitely preferable to the manner in which I learned typing back in high school.

Wow!!! I’m more than glad and satisfied with this product. Technical support is beyond perfection. One of their employees ( Jerry Galindo ) was very helpful and supportive. I’ve emailed them twice in reference to product activation keys and both times they provided me with new activation code after purchase confirmation. The product itself is very easy to use. Trainings are very informative and personally, I learned a lot from this product. Learned typing in no time and it made typing like ABC for me. Thank you so very much for providing a product this helpful to people out there. Definitely, recommend this item.

Over the course of many years I have drifted away from typing correctly. I learned to type in the 6th grade on a manual typewritter and had been quite good. But over the years I didn’t use the skill and when I did, I developed many bad habits and I needed to correct them, this software helped me to do that. Since I already knew where the keys were on the keyboard what I really needed was to relearn what fingers were responsible for hitting each and every key. Typing tutor quickly taught me the correct keystrokes and allowed me to jump in at a level that I am comfortable with, now the only thing left for me to do is to improve on my speed. 30 to 20 mintues nightly help me to improve. This purchase was well worth the $20 that I spent and I would recommend this to others even though I haven’t used any other typing software titles.

Before installing I made sure to have my cd’s Activation Key available. Also, I hadn’t installed it already on any other PC. I think this can be installed on only one PC, but maybe two are allowed. The seller could maybe clarify that detail.
With the one PC I installed it on, the program does allow for more than one user profile. I haven’t had to set up additional accounts, but I think allowance is made for up to five users.
Installation from the cd seemed to just “hang”, like nothing was happening. I gave it ten minutes and then noticed on my taskbar an icon for the Install Shield Wizard. It was hidden behind the screen that first opens from the cd. It might’ve just appeared then or earlier on, but patience nevertheless is a recommended tool for anyone’s Windows toolkit.
After installation completed, the Activation Key was required upon opening the installed program. Once activated, this Platinum version Typing Instructor program has since performed fine on my Windows 11 system.
I am an adult user of this program whose interest in it is for times when my typing skill feels a little “rusty”. I can add to this program content of my own creating for use as practice articles, or as tests to refresh my skill. That is my favorite feature why I’ve stuck to this product.
In the absence though of one’s own content, the selection of lessons, tests, practice articles, games and more provide plenty to work with for experienced leisure users like me, or for new learners. As a repeat consumer of this software, I do recommend it.
