I often see people looking at the K version of this chip as a better option. I would argue against that philosophy. Having had the 9900k for the past few years, I struggled with going down to a locked i7. I could not be happier with my decision. I have used the cpu in both capped and uncapped throttling. I have settled on capped which runs at 5.2ghz across 8 cores and my cpu never gets above 50 degrees celsius on high end settings of games running with other apps open. The absolute positive for me is that I dropped from an AIO pump to a blade fin standard cooler. As a result the computer is cooler and fans run slower making the room less noisy and less heat.

This is a GREAT little CPU. Super fasssssst with very low 65W TDP. Multiple cores handle video game processing with ease. Includes onboard video (if needed). Get yourself a good air cooler ( Thermalrite Assassin) and check your mobo CPU Turbo settings for PL1 and PL2. Start with 65W and 219W settings (per Intel). Even today, this CPU is commanding a bit of a premium price but it is still cheaper than the 13700K or KF versions. This is kind of a sleeper in the 13th gen series. Buy it !

It’s not cheap, but after a careful review of all the Intel Gen 12, 13, and 14 cpus, I chose this as the best performer for an acceptable price. It should last me for years and it’s a significant improvement over my previous Intel.
You could go for the K version … it’s not too much more $, but it uses a lot more electricity for just another 5-7% performance bump.

What can I say, its intel.

What can I say, it improved my gaming PC performance immensely.
Some people talk about it’s hard to cool, but I’m using just an air cooler, and it works fine

The Intel Core i7-13700 is a beast of a processor. It’s packed with features that make it a great choice for gamers, creative professionals, and anyone who wants the best possible performance.
The i7-13700 has 12 cores and 20 threads and it’s also clocked at 5.1 GHz, which is one of the highest clock speeds of any mainstream processor.

Not much you can say here as Intel and AMD both have offered excellent value.

Having been burned by “like-new” electronics riddled with missing parts and broken pins, I was pleasantly surprised by this impeccable microprocessor. From its meticulous cleaning and repackaging to the prompt shipping and flawless performance, it’s evident that Techno Intelligence (the company shipping it) takes pride in exceeding expectations. Highly recommended.

I have problems with my newly assembled PC. It is going wrong.
I repaced everything but CPU and storage. Now I suspect CPU.
