For about 10 years I’ve been using the same space heater under my work desk. It was small and works well, but it’s loud so every time I had a work call I’d have to turn it off. It also didn’t have a remote so I either had to crawl under my desk or use my toes to turn it on an off. With Prime days I took the chance to get this one instead and I’m so glad I did! It’s so quiet I can barely hear it – if it was across the room I wouldn’t at all. But hey – there’s a light on top that tells you from a distance what setting it’s on – white is fan, light red is low heat, and bright red is high heat. I say low heat but it works so well I don’t even need the higher one. The remote is easy to figure out and controls the mode and if it oscillates, and turns it off and on, but the buttons on the top of the heater can do it as well in case the remote is missing or needs a new battery. The tip over protection is perfect – it turns it off completely.

This is a compact heater that really packs a punch. Most people don’t know how to convert watts into heating potential, so I think it really doesn’t matter what the wattage is. The short story is that it made my full bathroom go from 65° to 75° in about 15 minutes. That’s not bad at all. The three modes of low, high, and fan work as expected. I didn’t realize that it had a red light on top. So when it’s in high heat the red light is bright. When it’s in low heat the red light is dim. When it’s in fan mode the light turns white. That’s a pretty neat feature. If I were using this in a darkened space, I might not want any light. Like if I was watching a movie or something. The swivel feature is pretty cool. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that on such a small heater. The remote also works perfectly well. The self cool-down when you turn it off is an awesome feature. I always do this to space heaters manually by setting it to fan mode for a few seconds before I power it off. But with this one you don’t need to do that. It’s automatic. I think the cool down probably lasts about 10 seconds. The one thing that this lacks that I wish it had is a timer. In my bathroom I would set it to a short amount of time and then want it to turn off. For example, I get up in the morning to shower and turn it on. I would like it to turn off after a few minutes. All in all this is a great little heater.
