I got this to use with my Debian Linux Lenovo P1 Gen 6 laptop, and it works great. Initially when I tried to use it, it was not showing up at all on my system (running lsusb and dmesg). Nothing, nada. I tried several USB-C ports, and none worked. I tried connecting it to my phone, and it worked immediately – so it seems it wasn’t an issue with the cable.
A reboot of my machine corrected the issue – not sure what was wrong, but after reboot, lsusb reported it almost immediately upon connecting it, and NetworkManager configured it immediately, picking up a DHCP address and providing connection.
A+ works really well. As some other reviewers noted, the end of the cable is unusually large, but not so large that it gets in the way of the other USB-C ports on my laptop. If two such of these large cables were tried to be plugged into the adjacent USB-C ports, then there would be troubles, however. With a standard sized USB-C plug and this oversized one, however, no issues are had.
Do bear in mind though that the cable end is a bit large. My calipers measure it to be a little over 17mm wide, whereas the end of my Anker C300 webcam cable – which is of a more standard width – is a little over 12mm in width – so this cable end is 5mm oversize. See photo for size difference plugged into my laptop.
As for speed – it reports as a gigabit ethernet adapter, and I don’t see any slowdown in performance over my other gigabit USB-C network adapter, however my network connection maxes out right now at about 200MBit, so I haven’t tested full gigabit. Still, for most folks, that should be enough, and I expect it performs even better than I can test.

I really like this ethernet cable, it solves the problem of using a chunky block ethernet to USB C adapter. Only problem is that the plug head is quite wide, it was difficult to plug it in my iPhone 15 Pro with the case on, but otherwise it worked great for my MacBook Pro and iPad.
The cable itself is braided and feels quite sturdy, I won’t need to worry about it fraying or being bent out of shape.

This is a very good quality cord, and works very well.

Connected from the USB-C (thunderbolt) port on my Mac-Studio to my ethernet router. It works fine, although the speed is noticeably slower — only 42Mbps, rather than 800Mbs that I get with a direct ethernet connection.
Why? I strongly suspect that my mac-studio does not properly route ethernet packets through its USB port.
In any event, this cable/adapter works fine.

The review is for USB C to Ethernet (RJ45) by Jadaol. This type of cable is ideal for anyone who wants to wire-connect a USB type-C device to a router/switch. Most modern devices have only USB type-C ports and connect to the internet via WiFi, no Ethernet ports. Sometimes the WiFi connection is unreliable or you do not trust the provider for the connection – for those scenarios and if you have access to an ethernet port (RJ-45) at the location, you can use this cable to accomplish just that. The cable assigns the IP 192.168.1.20 on the 192.168.1.1 subnet. To use the cable, you need to change this assigned IP, and possibly the DNS provider, to either a dynamic DHCP IP assignment or give it a dedicated IP if you know the gateway for the network. The cable is powered by a Realtek Gigabit USB chip. No drivers needed in windows OS to use it. There is a drop in the ethernet connection speed of about 40% or less, depending on the internet speed test connection used. Excellent tool.

The cable looks nice, and doesn’t feel cheap. These are great to have for when you want a wired only connection for wireless privacy / security or to provide to guests in areas where there are RJ45 jacks in bedrooms.
They can also be used to plug into your router / network and configure administrative portals with your phone.
Of course they’ll also work with devices other than cell phones, but that is the primary reason I got this.

This ethernet cable works well for laptops or other mobile devices, because you can use usb C. I got gigabit internet speeds using this cable, so it can definitely support high speeds. The connections feel secure and high quality.

I got this to have as a backup or alternate way to get on the internet, as well as to “hard wire” my phone to the internet should I need to do so. I first tested the speed using my Cat-8 (newest and fastest) ethernet cable on my laptop. Then I tested this one. The download speeds were pretty much the same, but the upload speed on this cable was about twice as fast. I did several tests to be sure it wasn’t just a fluke. Seems to be very durable, with flex-cable and sturdy connectors. Overall, a very good product.
